  2. Nice Steel, I have a Sho-Bud Maverick, which is a student model........but they are all difficult to play ! Good luck as these are fantastic instruments.
  3. But they are worth the wait, trust me ! Jon built me a 51 reissue P Bass last year and yes it did take a long time but he always replied to my emails and telephone calls.......we are assuming he has received them.

    SOLD!!!

Slightly off topic.......how about a valve preamp Meas Boogie Walkabout......was back up to my Marshall Super Bass and sounded very old school valve to everyone who commented into 2 4x12 cabs. 350w at 8ohm............ +cash from me and I live in Yorkshire !
  6. Off to Chicago so no movement until 5th.............time to save up or fall out of love with your Thunderbird John

  12. Could include Gibson Hard case for a total of £475.........a bargain.........or p/ex your Thunderbird !
  13. Many thanks for that......and we have great fun playing as well !!!
  14. None at all, and interestingly the current reissue bass doesn't have the blocks either although the maple cap one that I used to have did !. Personal opinion is they look more "authentic" with the dots ! Great basses and a genuinely different sound to most others basses out there and not just a "one trick pony" either but Gibbo's are a bit like Bovril really................I use mine every week and occasionally the EB2 but never tried a Thunderbird but had a couple of Ric's. My versatile needs are my 77 Jazz (weighs a ton) and my 51 Shuker which is awesome. Check out www.theproperboys.co.uk or YouTube to see one of my originals being used. John
  15. Its the faded finish, could include a Gibson case instead of a Gig Bag for an extra £40 though John
  16. Meant to add reason for sale is 2 orignal EB3's and an EB2 is probably overkill.............unless someone wants to get involved in a p/ex with a Thunderbird and cash their way...........food for thought Gibbo fans. John
  17. No, its the dot markers, which made it look more like my 2 original EB3's, never thought the blocks really looked right ! I'm gigging in Newcastle Saturday evening if you want to see/try it. Cheers John
