1. A price reduction for you!
2. Still available. Shipping rate is around £50 but I can pay half ot it in the price so it is £925 including shipping.
3.
Would you take £899 to include shipping to uk?
I've sent you a PM.
4. Honestly, I've been told by PM that the price is high, especially as I have no other info on the neck. So I'm selling the parts separately. The neck will be £100. The body is worth around £650-700 (check Ebay: original non-refinished bodies with the original stamps are slighty above that price without shipping and custom taxes and they're hard to find, especially the ones from 1975 downwards). The "cracked poly" is harder to appreciate in natural bodies, apart from the grain which is very figured in this model, and it doesn't have as much poly as in later models that I've seen. The finish is original as it was offered by Fender from 1972 onwards. http://www.vintageguitars.org.uk/fender72p21.php The other parts are valued a 10% less than Thomann's value, as I bought them there new less than a month ago and with original packaging. All parts value = £170. Total price buying everything is £900. Shipping rate is negotiable. Thank you
5. Sorry, I'll reup them through another host. If anyone is interested in separate parts just pm me instead of *talking* about frets, compatibility (I've checked this out and without attaching the neck it has the correct profile and size without problem) and stuff. It is indicated as a "project", so what's the problem? The box is from a brand new Fender MIM guitar but I know how ironic it is. It is just to give you an approximate idea of packing measurements.
6. I'm sorry but this one will be withdrawn, I didn't know it could 'cause so much controversy.
7. New pics and final price reduction! Kramer bass is sold.
8. Hi everyone, thanks for the answers. Actually not only repainted but also non-original tuners (but equal replacements to the original ones). I do recall that neck diving is there BUT sound, to me, is amazing. The Bartolini pre and pickups (as bubinga9 said) are pretty versatile, more than your average Gibson (I've tried a few) and they allow you single coil-alike sound, although the main thing is that you get the typical Gibson tone from Jack Bruce, Gene Simmons and Lemmy during his Hakwind era, so that's a favorable point to me. The guy (a friend of mine) also told me that he can buy it back maybe next year, but who wants to resell if you're supposed to buy because you're gonna use it? Personally, the cons for me are the refinishing thing, the fact that I should probably sell my "Fender Precision 74 by parts" (I have 3 basses already) and neck diving plus not knowing if I could bring out good sounds with a basic amp (Ashdown MAG, but I was thinking about buying an Ashdown ABM 115 soon...). Music that I play is mainly rock-bluesy 70s stuff, so I guess that is pretty adequate for that one, which is a big pro, though.
9. A friend of mine says he's broke so he needs some money. He offers me a 1990's Gibson Les Paul bass for £500. The thing works fine but aesthetically repainted and with different pots. Is this one a good deal? Some pics... Thanks.
10. People, I have seen this thread and seems quite interesting. Anyone knows what model could be this one? A Bass Collection from the 90s. It is made in Japan. Thank you
11. Still for sale or trade both of them.
12.
MB1. ...Richard or Tim?
That nearly killed me. When I said "similar" I was refering to the looks and the brand, not the model. Obviously Cliff played a 1980's SB1000 (active, one pickup) in Cardinal Black and used the passive model of one pickup as a backup. But it looks dark-stained, something not so usual on Aria's after 1982, 'cause they used clear red, white and greyish blue at that time, and this looks darker like the top of the line models (SB1000 and SB900) but it is passive. Perhaps a transitional model.
13. A bump and a price reduction to compensate shipping costs and the economical crisis strain everywhere.
14. Here's a little up with new info and a vid of the Kramer Duke.
15. Beautiful bass. With that "eye-inlay" this one screams "play me headbanger"! Similar to the one that Burton from Metallica had, I think.
16. You can't find many Kramer USA basses anymore...
17.
Some rather interesting pickup "facts" here. Good luck with the sale amigo.
Thanks mate. That is bueno to know about
18. Personally I run out of money since I've bought a few things recently but that's probably a killer for the price, bump.
19. Thank you all for the answers, I've received this one today and looks impressive. Probably I'll get parts from that guitarpartsresource website... looks like they have a lot of things, including allparts necks... nice!
