1. I thought the honey had more tension than evah weich, if honey are under tension, it would be really perfect for me ! I spoke to Paul King, who told me that the tension was too much for the slap with the honey, the solo was better. I'll want to write a topic, (for the french website) on this strings

16. Summary Standard and deluxe set will disappear, replaced by: GutTwin wound E with A, D and G normal (new nylon soulless kevlar) GutTwin 47' wound E and A, D and G normal (new nylon soulless kevlar) Resolution (Red) D and G
17. hello, I just saw on a forum that Lambert came out of the new strings: the new Lambert strings(gut twin) is not made with the same material used for the Lambert Deluxe. The "weedwacker" product from Oregon has a certain number of limit : the inner core in kevlar is making the string feeling a kind of spongy when you play at high speed. Even with all the treatment we know, it is not possible to improve the material. We have invest a lot of the money in our "own nylon" product. We have now a stock of nylon made in France only for us with our own specification, and not something from the motoculture range like weedwacker. We will end soon the Deluxe and new Deluxe production, we will have a 100% French product, only with French supplier for the raw material (the wound stuff for example). This nylon we use is not available anywhere else, we had to brought a very big quantity in order to have our own nylon, believe it it's a real lot of money !!! So we have a nylon with high response, better tension, more compression (like gut) with better harmonic and longer sustain than usual. No more ugly inner core, nicer gut color. The New E is different from the actual Wound E deluxe, more tension, more tone even if you play in slap style (yes you can play a boogie in F starting with low F and you can use F#, G,G# too...). The Gut Twin E is made with a steel wound over nylon than a nylon wound over steel, both flattened, the Gut Twin A will be able available in plain nylon (for gut lover) or in nylon with nylon wound flattened too (for "ex steel string player"). Both A are same tension, Wound A has more sustain than plain nylon A, same compression but more harmonics. We are naming those two sets, the "Gut Twin" ( for set with plain A ) and "Gut Twin '47" ( for wound A). The '47 is because of the year of the very first nylon string made for musical instrument. E and A wound string will be available with two finition : Mojo for "used" and it will be the standard production. Classic for the "clean" and look like new as an option. We don't want to have the buckle end for this line, as we are nuts, we will use only knots to make the string looking like real gut string. et une petite video:
18. hello all, I have some new strings for sale Puretone gut D: 20£ http://img841.imageshack.us/i/dsc0035nx.jpg/ Pirastro flexocor G: 20£ http://img705.imageshack.us/i/dsc0039mr.jpg/ Wounded gut Bernd kuersner E, mounted half an hour, but too much tension for my poor slapfingers : 25 £ http://img64.imageshack.us/i/dsc0038on.jpg/ Prices are including shipping
19. if you want to play weedwacker, you must play with Lambert Strings, they resemble gut, both in sound and in touch. Lambert offers several types of strings, one of which Wound E substain and is playable, there are also a G 0.80 with a sound full of harmony and they also offer half a set D & G red in homage to the red O Ray, which they are made for the jazz player who wants a typical sound of guts. 20. behind the numbers Thomann you can find the following system: 111 and Rockabilly basses: Chinese laminated basses. 1/2/3/4/5 basses built in Czech Republic. (strunal) 11/22/33/44 basses built in Romania (i think hora) 1/11/111 laminated basses 2/22 laminated basses with carved top 3/33 carved basses with flat back 4/44 carved basses with swelled back 5 carved basses with swelled back and flames E is for ebony fingerboard W is for "washed finish" (looks somewhat antique) All basses 2/22/3/33/4/44/5 offer an ebony fingerboard"
21. it sounds very good with a bow also, is like playing the gut without the sour side.
22. I take the topic flight, I playing on guts(Lenzner, kuerdschner, clef gut...), but it is expensive and that demand for maintenance, i found a perfect substitudes of plain gut, les cordes Lambert, same tension, same diameter, more substain an precision in A and E, but really not expensive(50€). a sample in slap and pizz by Paul King http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5P4Swu7Y_SY http://www.myspace.com/cordeslambert
23. hello, it's been quite some time I test gut substitution and I just discovered les cordes Lambert, it's unbelievable I feel like a set of plain gut mounted on my bass, same tension, I think those frenchies have solved the A & E tension problem, big volume, same touch and color and really cheap for this quality, 60$ shipping include.
