  1. Shure GLXD16 Wireless in excellent condition, works flawlessly, I’ve had no drop outs on small or large stages. Also has a very good tuner built in which is handy!

The GLX-D16 uses 2.4Ghz Digital Wireless While in Automatic mode, the GLX-D16 will hop intelligently between frequencies to avoid interference - all without interrupting the audio signal!

  2. I did the same to my Ric and yes it was a transformation for all the same reasons you said. The Hipshot bridges and tuners are more often much better than what they replace!! Their customer service is also great

This is Interesting to me because I saw MCR live about a year ago and Mikey Way played Jazz basses the whole time

MCR was awesome live - one of the best concerts I went to, and I'm an old guy

Yeah he uses a Jazz now, the Mustang phase was about 12 years ago

  5. I managed to acquire a Squire Mikey Way Mustang bass for a ‘reasonable-ish’ pice. Fit, finish and playability was excellent but the pickup sound woolly, lacked definition in the low end and just not great. So after Googling … I found pretty much nothing on swapping out the pup, where I did it suggest that it needs modding to fit, however after getting the dimensions of the EMG 35HZ and checking the pickguard it looked like it ‘might’ actually fit, so I ordered one and kept my fingers crossed

It arrived today and it fits like a glove, easy install with the solderless pots and wires

What a transformation, clear, articulate and punchy just need to add in some mids and it sounds ACE!!! If you’ve got a Mikey Way Mustang but frustrated with the sound then do not hesitate to pop an EMG in !!

My hankering is for a Stingray SS; I'd love the ebmm but they aren't easy to come by and the eye watering new price is out of reach so I'd probably have to settle for the Sterling.  My current 3 are a Mikey Way Mustang, JMJ Mustang and Fullerton Fallout, I'd struggle to decide which one the Stingray could replace.

I’d personally let the Fallout go, it’s the least feeling shorty of your short scales, well that’s the main reason I sold it to you!

You certainly wouldn’t be disappointed with an EBMM SS Stingray … if you can find a used one reasonably priced (that isn’t turdburst)
