1. All fixed now. Once I'd taken the switch out I saw that a small plastic retaining flange had snapped, 5 minutes with the superglue solved it. 2. Hi all Just picked up a used BB414 (Indonesian version ) and noticed the 3 position toggle switch only functions for Split only and Split + Bar. On the bar only setting it's still powering the split pickup. Does anybody know what replacement part fits. There's a few on fleabay. I can do the repair myself, just need to find a part that fits. Cheers Brian.

7.
Probably a 5 string with an extra string beside each one tuned an ocatave higher - Stuart Zender used to own an 8 string Streamer like this (I think you can see it in the video for Return of the Space Cowboy). Would be a Warwick custom shop job, I should think.
Just watched the vid, kind of like that with the FNA Jazzman body, but smaller machine heads. Would have had bash on it but car park time was almost out.
8. Saw an FNA Jazzman yesterday in my local shop with 10 strings, can't find it on any site. I'm guessing it's some sort of Ltd Edition Signature model or something. Any ideas?
9. Thanks That's what I thought, it's been over 15 years since I did the electronics module of my astronomy degree.
10. I've got a Korg Pandora PX4B that runs on 4 AAA cells, the optional PSU is rated at 4.5v 500mA. I've got a Sony PSU for my Discman which is 4.5v 700mA The plug and polarity match. Can I use the Sony PSU safely with the Korg unit?

12. Yorkshire rocks !!! Dad's a Yorkshireman, been living here over 15 years now on and off. Can't knock it, Sheffield is a great place to be right now. Getting back into bass playing after a few years out of the loop.
13. Are there any problems with using a keyboard combo for practice? I'm stuck without any amps or cabs for a while so intend using my dad's Peavey KB/A 60 It has a 12 inch woofer so should handle a 4 string active bass OK.
14. I've noticed that the Euopean and USA made basses retail for much higher prices compared to their far Eastern siblings. Production costs are obviously cheaper, but is the quality control better from the European / USA camp? One American bass player told me that USA Fenders are probably put together by Mexicans living in the USA anyway so there's not much difference between a Mexican Jazz and a USA Jazz. Warwick's Chinese Rockbasses are half the price of their German counterparts. Yamaha manufacture their TRB 1005/6 in Korea which makes them a lot cheaper than the TRB5/6 top line stuff. Anybody had any major QC issues with these cheaper far Eastern instruments?
