1. No-one? Will be on the horridness of ebay soon...
2. Just got myself one of these heads for a steal and am really impressed with it, £500 for the rig is a great price for anyone wanting 300 tube watts plus cabs! Come on all... christmas bargains...
3. Quimby! All about the DI! Something like that would really suit my needs atm, how much did it set you if you don't mind me asking?
4. Any takers? Christmas is coming and this would look good under the tree. "Here you go love, for you..." "What the f**k is this?!?!?!" Bump
5. Am down in Bath Dylzord, and yes, it is incredible!
6. These guys speak the truth! Bump bump BUMP!!!
7. For Sale due to acquisition of valves (mmmm): Peavey Firebass 700 whiteface model. £170, collected. This thing is probably 10 years old now, if not more, but its the only amp I've ever owned thats never broken down on me! (if no one wants it i'm tempted to keep as a backup tbh) Amazingly versitile amp, with built in crossover, effects loop, pre-out power in loop etc. Oh, and when you stick it through 2 ohm it WILL shake the house down! In fact, we rehearse under a music shop in Wiltshire and whenever this baby's been cranked we have tales from the owner the following morning of having to replace all the pedals back to the shelves and the ukeleles to their stands! Low and loud isn't an issue for it! The carpet covering is pretty shabby, and the corners and handles are showing signs of a life in a van, however, i can recover with buffalo emboss tolex should you wish for an extra £30 (bearing in mind i'll have to remove all the old carpet etc etc, christ, you know the score!) Anyway, its the white face one in the pics, and no, the matamp is not for sale, however, the 4x15 (empty) is! 8. Can i interest you in a swap for a rather massive 4x15?
9. Hey Steve, Am down in Bath. Sorry, no sale price i'm afraid... its still very much in active service. I'm just really looking to trade for a high quality 8x10. To answer your question though, its a simple jack plate connection and is rated at 1600W. The jack plate could be converted to anything you like though pretty simply. I had a feeling this one would be a long shot!!! haha
10.
What's it got inside it? Did you make it yourself? Looks v. solid. Have you ever weighed it?
All home made, and yeah, solid as hell! Construction wise, it's braced and sealed internally to act as 4 separate 1x15 cabs, with enough volume to make the most of the Eminence Deltas. Central column of 8 ports (2 per driver). As for weighing it... never tried. Just know i can just about get it in and out of the van myself, with some rolling and levering techniques, but would never get it up or down any stairs solo. More awkward than heavy really!
11. Starting out as a bit of a feeler gents... Am looking, possibly, to swap my home made Unloaded 4 x 15 for an equally as portable 8 x 10. Its pretty road worn tolex/leatherette-wise, but sounds as huge and warm as anything out there. Just doesn't grind like a sealed 810! Dimensions are 3ft square by 2ft deep. Imagine an overgrown matamp guitar 412 and you're somewhere close. On heavy duty casters and 2 handles on each side for giving your guitard a hernia with you! In the pics... its the big bloody green one!
12. well, that pretty much clears it up! Cheers anyhow guys, regular tele build it is! (heavey as hell gauge strings and lets see how low we can go!)
13. Here goes guys... am in the middle of crafting a new body for my telecaster after it got, ahem, introduced to my patio after a heated argument! given that i have the hardware already (everything survived apart from the thinline semi-hollow body!), i am now in full on project mode! The prospect of making a baritone "bass VI" type affair is tempting, however, knowledge is limited. Basically, my main query is, Can I convert the new tele to baritone by using original neck but simply moving the bridge to make it long scale? if so, should i just match the original Bass VI scale? or am i going to need a longer neck and i'm basically barking, even howling up the wrong tree here? Go Basschatters go!
