    7pc body wings
    5pc Neck through
    BMT (Fusion) body shape

The pictures do not justice this wonderful Walnut top with its nice 3D pattern.

This bass is barely used and could go for cash (preferred) or another interesting bass (5ers only). Action could be set very low. Currently strung with d'Adddario Flats. Everything works well and as expected.

This bass is absolutely LIKE NEW. I am the second owner after a collector. This bass survived most of its life time in its case. No dings or dongs, no hairline scratches, it still smells like new ! The gold bridge is shining like on its first day ! Case is like new as well.

    Street price currently 8100 USD (7100 TNE6 + 300 7pc + 100 Fretless + 600 Exhibition grade top). Plus shipping and VAT.

  3. I made several deals with Uros, sold an Aguilar DB680 and bought it back a while later, also sold him a Jule Demonique.

Always a pleasure to deal with him. Fast payment, good communication, everything went smooth.

Recommended basschatter for sure. Would be happy to deal with him again.

    Thanks Uros :-)

  4. Selling my unique and ultrarare Ken Smith 25th Anniversary Fusion Elite 5, the one and only factory original fretless from Ken's top model that I have ever seen.

    Specs:

    25th Anniversary model
Exhibition Grade Bubinga Top and Back
    Walnut Core
7pc body wings and 7pc neck (neck through)
    BMT body shape
Satin finish (Ken's recommendation for Fretless)
    Figured Macassar Ebony Board
    Lined Fretless (300 USD upgrade)
    34" scale
    18mm spacing
    18V electrics with DIP switches
    Weight 4,6 kg
    Build year 2009
    OHSC and case candy

The pictures do not justice this wonderful Bubinga top with its nice 3D pattern and grain. The Satin finish feels great in my hands.

This bass is barely used and could go for cash (preferred) or another interesting bass. Action could be set very low. Currently strung with Thomastik Rounds. Everything works well and as expected.

This bass is absolutely LIKE NEW. I am the second owner after a collector. This bass survived most of its life time in its case. No dings or dongs, no hairline scratches, it still smells like new ! Case is like new as well.

Street price currently 8100 USD for the current top model which does not include the 25th details like the golden truss rod plate and the Abalone dot inlays. Plus shipping and VAT.

    SOLD

Players who would like to have a 25th fretted instead of a fretless could easily let a luthier install frets on this bass - and even then the price would be less than currently asked for similar models. I still own a fretted 25th 5er with Walnut top and it plays and sounds incredible !

There have been only maximum 60 Smiths built at 25th anniversary specs (of which I personally own and owned not less than 7), the model has been discontinued now but most of the specs are found in the current Fusion Elite line. So grab the chance to take a very rare piece of history.

    Trades considered:

    Fodera
    Ken Smith Fretted
    Ken Lawrence
    Vintage Fenders
    Alleva Coppolo
    Xotic XJ1T Lightweight
    K Bass

or other high end bass (+/- cash), let me know what you have.

  5. I am selling my unique Stenback 5 bass - the only one existing in custom colour Blood Red - besides the only 4-stringer in that colour.

Stenback basses are well known in the bass world since Paul Turner from Jamiroquai started to use them as his main basses. Videos from him or from other players playing Stenbacks are avalable on YT.

This bass is from 2015 and - besides very few signs of wear - in like new condition. Action is low, output is strong, the bass responds fast and sounds superb ! There is a video on YT where Paul Sips from Bassmatters in Nimwegen is playing exactly this bass.

Tom Stenback has implemented some very nice specials on his basses, like the curved pickups following the board radius - for an even string output. Or the magnetic backplate for a quick access to the electrics. The bass weighs sensational 3.8 kg. The neck feels really smooth. In the neck there are Graphite inlays to make it stiffer. The bass has a 34" scale and passive (JB-like) electronics, but with lots of space in the cavity to add an active preamp if desired. I never felt there is a pre required for this bass. Finish is Nitro.

A fantastic bass especially for Fender lovers - so why am I considering to part with it ? That's simple - Usually I play 18mm string spacing, maximum would be 19mm on 5ers or sixers. But I do not feel comfortable with  20mm like on this 5-string bass. On a Fender 4 ... OK. But not on 5 or 6 stringers. According to Tom a 20mm spacing supports a better string decoupling and as Fenders have 20mm too he felt this is the way to go. I tried to become familiar with it but I always return to narrower spacings. That's why it gets less attention than it deserves.

Tom has stopped to accept orders in 2017 because his order book is full for years - there is no waiting list. So this is one chance to get one anyway.

The bass comes with the original Harvest bag in like new condition. I am asking 6100 Euro (currently 5300 GBP or 7300 USD) plus shipping from Duesseldorf/Germany. That is a lot of money for a JB derivate, but >1000 Euro less than new, IF they would be available for money at all.

And Tom stated he will use only black and white finishes in future. So probably this bass keeps to be unique forever.

  6. Selling my Fender Jazz Bass 1966 in sunburst "Entered Special"

    Specs:
Sunburst Finish marked "ES" under the pickguard beneath the bridge pickup (see below)
Rosewood board with dots and binding
    Lollipop tuners
    Serial 1658xx
    Neck date 7MAY66A
    Potcodes 6631
    Original 66 hardcase

    Non-original:
    Frets have been professionally renewed
Pickup wires are replaced by shielded cables
    Some screws here and there

Everything else looks original. Bass is ready to gig and perform and plays wonderful. Truss Rod turns easyly and the screw is still flush with the neck end. Body and neck are well worn, but nothing which affects playability or sound. I like the look&feel of real road wear.

Original Sunburst marked "ES" as "Entered Special" means:
"In 1966, Fender used the "ES" code a lot on their custom color instruments. At least for 1966, the ES code was used as some sort of default for custom colored instruments (be it Teles, or Strats or Jazz Basses). This two letters ("ES" for "Enter Special") seems to denote a special order, at least for 1966. Again this is has been seen lots of times on 1966 documented original custom color instruments. I have also seen the "ES" stamp on some 1966 sunburst instruments! (Perhaps these guitars were special show models, so extra care was taken in their finish.)" www.Guitarhq.com

The bass comes with original pickup covers and fingerrest.

Asking 5700 EUR plus insured shipping to EU from Duesseldorf / Germany.

    Trades considered only against
    Fodera Elite 5
    Alleva Coppolo 5
    Stenback 5
    Ken Smith Elite 5
    +/- cash
