1. I have now bought an NY121 extension cab for my combo and can confirm it gives a marked increase in volume and a larger 'spread' of sound than the combo on its own. it is very light and easily fits into the boot of my car next to the combo. I would certainly recomend it - although given the price it probably doesn't represent good value for money unless compactness is absolutely key as it is with me.
2. Nice guitar, - just to be pedantic the F prefix in the serial number would suggest 1986-87 according to Fenders own site. very nice bass though cheers
3. i use a markbass 121p combo and find it more than adequate for rehearsing, however if looking for a lightweight cab to partner a small high powered head check out http://www.barefacedbass.com/, the guy who runs it is a contributor on here and is very helpful. He makes a cab called the compact, single 15in...small cab and very light.
4. Just wondering if anyone has tried one of these cabs yet, they are designed to ideally partner the 121p combo. i have such a combo and am wondering about getting a matching cab. Any experience/ advice would be gratefully received cheers
5. If I had room I would be very interested in this but i have a strict 1 in 1 out policy...but have a bump on what is a very nice bass.
6. Many thanks for the information and advice
7. Hi, can you tell me what the power requirements for the VT1 eq drive is?
8. hello This is my first ever foray into the world of forums (or is that fora?), so apologies in advance if I stray from correct etiquette. On with the introduction - I am a 45 yr old Illustrator, got back into playing music about three years ago (used to play in various bands 25 yrs ago as a lead guitarist) and now loving playing bass in a covers band. I'm hoping to pick your collective brains on a number of subjects and look forward to being a part of this site. Cheers Martin
