  1. Does this fellow bass chatter have three of them available? Because that's what's inspired this post... I feel I must edit that I don't have the Musicmaster anymore, bought it when it was reasonable vintage price (£500 in 2014, wine red and jesus they've doubled!) and sold it months later when I got the mustang so didn't get to change the pickup but ngl I do kinda buy basses more on what they look like, shame on me...
  2. For those that own both Which is better? Genuinely; I know MIJ is more of a jazz bass profile, and JMJ is more of a p profile. To those who have both which one do you prefer? I'm nervous about getting rid of the MIJ because Its been, well, my signature bass for the past ten years but the slim neck has always been a bit of a strange thing compared to literally every other bass Ive played. However, I only originally got into the MIJ Mustang because of owing a 70s Music master. I remember the neck being the most comfortable thing I've ever played but the strat pick up sucked. Is the old p bass profile recreated in the JMJ? My other main basses are a CIJ P bass and Rickenbacker 4003, so is it even worth it to swap out the Japanese Mustang when I've got the other fat neck bois. Obviously I would love to try one but there aren't any near me
  3. They're very fun, I've used to use mine live for a couple of tracks and people were always interested in it.

  6. They were black beauties I believe but the coating on them made it so it didn’t ground properly and had an awful buzz, stuck some normal ones on and it was fine
  7. Nice 1998 American precision in an iconic colour scheme! Has been well loved and gigged but in great condition for a 23 year old gigging bass. Willing to trade for a black JMJ mustang (with black pickguard). Collection or I can meet within a reasonable distance
  8. weight added to description (Had to use bloody kitchen scales and my 'human' scales wouldn't reigster it) it is an approximation but pretty close, ever so slightly heavier than my MIJ mustang but nowhere near as heavy as my P or Rick.
  9. Squier Vista Musicmaster. Few dings here and there. Currently strung with piccolo strings but I’ve got a set of rounds that I got it with. Collection preferred but I’m willing to meet half way at a reasonable distance. Weight is around 8 pounds/ 3.6 kg
  10. Meatbox reissue for sale mainly because I don’t really use it! im sure someone else could make better use of it than me 🙂

Selling as I really want a jazz bass but need some funds! Collection from Bicester but I’m willing to drive to meet up somewhere not crazy far away. Danke!
  13. Decals don’t look right on this mustang on eBay, everything else looks legit and tbh why would you fake a mustang? What do you guys think?
  14. After 4 weeks the hipshot lollipops came! Love ‘em!
  15. Just wondering what people’s thoughts on MIC Tokai J basses? Eyeing one up and wondering whether id get a good bang for my buck at £350 or should just go with a squier or second hand mim fender?
  16. So yeah, share your recent discoveries of old music that you probably should have heard a long time ago! For me I've recently discovered Young, Gifted and Black by Aretha Franklin, it's amazing plus the bass work is phenomenal! Edit: I should probably say that I mean the album by Aretha Franklin not the Nina Simone song
  17. Just ordered after a few beers, this is what it looks like at the moment!
  18. Hi So a few years ago I snapped one of the machine heads off of this Mustang (chucking it about on stage thinking I'm in Nirvana) and I've been using a coin to tune it ever since. I am now fed up with doing this a want to replace them with lollipop tuners. Does anyone know if there are any that will just drop right in? I'm struggling to find any info Cheers
  19. I’ve got a Verythin and it’s one of the easiest to play basses I’ve had
  20. I’m in the standard output, no Rico sound for me right now haha
