It's funny how a small thing like a non curved body where your forearm meets it (I tend to play quite far forward - pluckng in front of the neck pickup) can become an issue. Well, it does for me anyway, but perhaps I'm overly fussy.
Personally, I find this can make playing uncomfortable. Which is a shame, as surely it would cost next to nothng to round it off. If be tempted to sand it down a bit myself but it'd look a mess.
This is one of the things that worries me. I like the look of it and the spec etc and the reviews are all pretty good but can't get hold of one locally to try. Peach can order one but it's a 20% non-returnable deposit for an order.

I had my eye on one of these from Peach guitars. They had 2 in stock but they both apparently sold today. Priced at £597 I’m not really surprised. Oh well, need to wait until they start appearing second hand.
Truth is I’d probably realise yet again the 5 strings are not for me and put it up for sale within a couple of months 😂
Will look forward to the Dood’s review to see what I missed.

Anyone using the MarkBass LM iv ?
I’m using an LM3 and love it! Up till now with a 4 ohm 2x10 traveller cab but just acquired a 4x10 standard cab from a basschatter which moves significantly more air! I’m just down the road from you if you wanted to try it. Second hand they’re around £350 I think.

Hmmm. Could this be the 5 string that I actually get on with? Do I really need another bass? Why is it so damned pretty? Why did I sell my Corvette $$ for peanuts? Why do I think I need a five string when I keep buying them and selling on after realising I don't get on with them?
So many questions but few answers.
Absolutely stunning Bass Heathy!

The last band I was in broke up finally and very acrimoniously (drummer in the red corner and singer in the blue) at the start of my wedding anniversary party and refused to play. Thanks!

Shame that this is sitting gathering dust. It's a great bass, with the piezo providing interesting tonal options, but just not for me ergonomically. They're hard to get hold of in the UK - I think the only stockist is the bass centre and they're currently over £900. This one is pretty mint so I'm reluctant to drop the price but feel free to send an offer - you might catch me in a good mood!
If anyone fancies trying something different and has a trade in mind then feel free to message. I'm not precious about a straight swap a little bit of cash either way. As well as basses, interested in light 4 x 10 cabs.

Been using them since I got an Acg from Frank Blank of this parish that had them fitted. Amazing strings and they do send offers from time to time.

You’re welcome to borrow the ns radius wav 4 that I’m advertising in the for sale section. It’s just sitting there at the mo I’m on the edge of North Essex.

For the heavy basses this: KLIQ Music Gear AirCell Guitar Strap for Bass & Electric Guitar with 3" Wide Neoprene Pad and Adjustable Length. Super comfortable.

I’ve been wearing lenses most of the time for about 30 years. Now in my 50s have moved to mono vision which is where I have one weaker for reading like @doomed says above. So have always worn them for gigs with no problems.

There’s a clip of Marcus Miller doing a cover. He plays the first two notes and the audience knows what it is!

John Willis from "Dr Tones Lab" slated them. He said they're all just generic values on standard blocks and there's nothing thought out or special. I'm sure he uploaded his own versions to the Dr Tones Lab website for free where all values were 1 out to avoid any plagiarism drama. Might be worth checking them out on his website.
Worth mentioning I actually really like what Ian Martin Allison is doing, but haven't tried his or Jon Willis' presets.

Thanks both! Sounds like a potential dodging of a bullet.
Truth is I probably need to just play around myself starting with the Dr Tone Stuff. Using 3 or 4 different basses doesn't help either!

Anyone invested in Ian Martin Allison's presets? Any good? I don't mind chucking a fiver or a tenner just to see what a patch is like but his are far more expensive and wondering if they're worth it. Especially the synth sounds which sound amazing on the videos that I've seen but I always suspect there's more going on than just bass>helix.
anybody watched This Town?

I too enjoyed it but was slightly miffed that it wasn’t quite what the trailers portrayed which seemed more about the birth of the British ska scene.
Enjoyed the acting though. Especially Lady Mary Crawley as the alcoholic mum with the voice of an angel!
