I found this useful when learning it. Apparently though the album version wasn’t Stuart Zender. Fantastic bassline and very rewarding to play in a band.

Yes, your eyes aren't deceiving you! I noticed that too - the mute springs appear to have been put on back to front. One of the first jobs I'll be sorting, as well as the new black scratch guard which has now arrived.
Be nice to find a set of the correct knurled bolts too so the mutes are easily adjustable mid-gig.
-
Is it just me or are the mutes on the wrong way round on the bridge?

Great example of a great bass. I haven't owned a P bass since my first Hondo II P copy so bought this a year or so ago second hand to scratch that itch. Had it set up by a local luthier who changed the nut to a bone one and strung it with a set of light gauge Thomastik Infeld Strings I bought from one of the members here.
I'm more of an active bass man and do have a lovely Jazz when I want to go old school, Also there's a new 4 string incoming so this is better off with someone who will use it.
The price includes the flats, but happy to negotiate if someone wants the original rounds back on.
Everything is working, it's nice and light and in very good condition. There are a couple of tiny marks on the back of the body and one on the front just above the top of the scratch plate.
Prefer collection but happy to travel within an hour for a meetup - Essex, Suffolk, London, Herts etc.
Would reluctantly post at your expense and insurance.

Whoops I did it again! Another attempt at persuading myself that I needed and could play a 5 string!
Another 4 string incoming means that this must be sacrificed. Played a few times at home and 2 or 3 rehearsals, where my lack of 5 string ability was somewhat embarrassing!
It really is as new (I bought it from Peach about a year ago) , there's not a mark on it and comes complete with the gig bag and tools. Nice and lightweight and all working as it should. Strung recently
with a set of light gauge Newtones
Specs are here

I've played Knebworth.
A few years ago, Knebworth House, one of the Barns, great gig.
And I played Wembley in 84…Wembley Conference Centre!

Thanks all. I think the conclusion is to bite the bullet and put in the miles so that is what I shall do!

Bullet point responses.
A Warwick won't make you sound like any of their endorsees or make you play better. Tonally, I wouldn't compare anything on You Tube with a real life experience. Tonewood? Growl?
If you want a frankly fantastic NS bass, just buy a Spector Euro model.
I was trying to be a bit tongue in cheek 😌

Thanks Crazycloud. That’s exactly what worries me, especially with the Thumb.

Hey Warwick owners. Just wondering whether there’s anyone near Colchester who might own a streamer stage 1 or a thumb that might let me have a noodle. Would like to try before I buy.

Full disclosure is that I want a Streamer or a thumb based on the usual, super important and logical GAS reasons:
- they look really cool!
- They'll make me play and sound like Stuart Zender/Jack Bruce/any other fabulous Warwick endorsee!
- They sound great on all those YouTube reviews
- They use only the best tone woods
- They produce that legendary Warwick growl (whatever that is!)
- I don't have one
- Did I mention they look really cool!
What I've never actually done of course is play either! I did have a 5 string Corvette, but these are different beasts.
Now I don't fancy driving 2 hours X 4 to find I don't actually like em, so I'm wondering whether there's anyone in my locality (Colchester and surrounding) who has either of these who would be happy for a fellow basschatter to have a noodle on it to find out if he really does want to part with a load of cash for either of aforesaid basses.
And then it occurred to me that this could be something that Basschatters might be happy to offer generally. I know that I would be ok with the occasional visit to try my gear.

Interesting seeing as James Brown is seen as the main force behind what came to be known as funk. Apparently Cold Sweat was the first funk tune. Not my words however.
Although some say it’s Hercules by Aaron Neville. Cracking bassline!

I’m also near Ipswich if you need it.

The tuner in the Stomp is excellent in my experience, I just don’t want to waste a switch on it in this setup. I have space for an external tuner, so why not.Si
I’m guessing you already know you can activate the tuner by pressing "Action" and "Page >" buttons together?

In that case use the method above to prune your mailing list down to under 500 addresses so you can take advantage of the free MailChimp service. IME all of the other free services simply aren't worth bothering with.
A big plus 1 for Mailchimp.

That is the movement detection, you can turn that off in the app (but remember after updating it to plug the sender into the headphones for it to update).
How to change it:
Start "BOSS TONE STUDIO for WAZA-AIR" app.
Tap "≡ (SYSTEM)."
Tap "STANDBY SETTING."
Change the TRANSMITTER'S STANDBY SENSING to "SOUND SENSING."
- If MOTION SENSING is specified, the transmitter is in standby mode unless it senses vibration, and cannot be used.Reconnect the transmitter to the transmitter in of the WAZA-AIR unit, and perform the Auto Wireless Connection operation.
Thanks for the heads up!

As has been said it's the Boss Waza Air headphone system. Just the best things ever.
Agreed but when I try and do what you’re doing, but with a Stomp, they cut out after a few minutes. It’s like they don’t think anything is going on and go into sleep mode. Presumably that’s doesn’t happen with the ME-90B?
-
Thought this seemed a bit of a bargain. The seller also has another stingray and a jazz for sale.
As per his description I messaged with an enquiry and was told it had sold.
it’s still listed so not sure what the point is here. I guess it’s some sort of scam but wonder how it works.
Forget flats and rounds - these are curlies!
