" I built my own bass!" And when he said he spent his first check on "a couple of amps and a fuzz box" my gf just laughed...

We are binge-watching. Aw c'mon the songs sound like Fleetwood Mac. Like all the Stevie/Lindsey prattle all at the same time in one song.
Catchy.

The poor lass on keys didn't get enough camera time. My opinion.

She's great! I love the enthusiasm. It's nice to have parents with a studio and instruments laying around. My Dad sang, but he picked up a Roberts reel-to reel (with Sound-On-Sound!) that he recorded his choral groups with, and I had that to screw around with. When I asked for a guitar, I got one. BUT YOU ARE GOING TO TAKE LESSONS. "OK."
When I decided I wanted to play bass (heehee), we traded in the guitar, and I got a bass. BUT YOU ARE GOING TO TAKE LESSONS.
I have my parents to thank for a lifetime of enjoyment.

Brilliant, it worked! You’re obviously some kind of wizard 😁
But seriously, thanks. I would never have known that. I just assumed putting the red wire in the wrong place resulted in flames haha.
That's me with my electronics knowledge. Boom!

Oddly enough I just pulled my fretless Stick out of the storage unit. Will attempt (again) making sense out of, in hindsight, a senseless act. (the de-fretting that is)
Have fun with your new bass!

Even the amp is futuristic.

You guys like it? I bought it for the battery function. Chorus is cool but@ 5 watts...Anyone want one? No idea what it would cost to toss it over the pond. Perfect condition, mebe I should wait...until "collectors" get crazy w/ offers.

Highway Star - OK back to Deep Purple. But that Star Treckkin' thing was great.

C'mon mates. Show some love. It's been "reliced" for you.

There's too many pages (and controversy) to peruse so I'm gonna say when a manufacturer says it's a "fast neck", the bass is promiscuous?

That is no joke, had an awful gig on fretted before Xmas with a guitarist constantly going out of tune and so wished I’d picked up the fretless 🤔Try being a Stick player. I can tune twelve strings, both sides in tune with each other, and then the guitarist plays a chord.
I have a ten-string Ironwood Stick that had the frets removed. Mistake #1: Unwound strings "tapped" are really difficult to balance with the wound, "bass" tapped notes. Mistake #2: the luthier put fret lines in it. (see previous post)

Listening to Stick players. Mostly boring Stick players.
I really gotta get some music out.

Cool thing you can do on a fretless: hit a harmonic, fret it, then pull it up, or down. Instant Percy Jones.
Lines throw me off. If I'm looking. I don't know why. I play by ear.
Also: You can actually be in tune with the guitarist.
