  1. I really don't want to do this, but I have just landed a project that means I will need to purchase some effects pedals, and cash flow tight. So in order to fund this I'm reluctantly needing to let go of a lovely mikey way mustang bass in excellent condition. It comes with a brand new fender urban short scale gig bag. It has factory strings on it and also a set of La bella mustang flats, which are new, but have tried them on the bass but put back in the packet and factory strings re fitted.
I will sell for £165 plus carriage or trade for a zoom b3 effects pedal with cash my way.

  2. Relocated to Kettering area and looking to get involved in the scene in the area.
Been playing pick and finger style for too many years to remember mainly in punk or electro rock bands. Up till recently had my own rehearsal and recording studio in Bristol, until I moved.
I play bass for original 1977 punk band Open Sore which features Sean Burke of Tubeway Army and Jayne County and the Electric Chairs. We play ad hoc so not regular. I was producer and bassist for signed Electro Rock band Jagged and also to unsigned band ZeroSignal. Prior to that lots of punk bands and one covers band.
Am looking to join local band on bass. So if your in the market for a bassist and you think I would fit in then please get in touch.

  3. Just spotted on the bay that Bruce Foxton's Management Company is selling his Ampeg Touring Rig. They also mention that they have been instructed by home to sell a collection of amps, guitars etc spanning his 35 years. Any persons purchasing any of his equipment can meet him in one of his tour dates for a letter of authenticity

  4. I love my class d, amp, PF500. I love it's tone, it has great volume. However, the type of shows I play, it's always di'd into house PA, so how my sound is relayed to the audience depends very much on the room acoustics and what the engineer does through his equipment. On stage my pf500 and cab gives my monitoring along with stage monitors, so in my opinion in the environment that I play in, not many people in the audience would know whether I'm playing a class d amp or not. Either way, I am totally happy with my amp and cab :-)

  5. Yes, drongo's have a good following. Like that Eastfield Youtube video, very catchy track, haven't heard of them but going on the video, will check them out live. I've always preferred old school melodic punk bands, but there are some excellent new school melodic punk bands out there, keeping it alive :-)

  6. I play bass for 1977 Punk Band Open Sore of 'Farewell to The Roxy' Album Fame. It features Bob Kiley (original vocalist), Sean Burke (Original guitarist who also played in Tubeway Army, Tubeway Patrol And Wayne County & The Electric Chairs).
We are the penultimate band on Sunday 11th August 2013, on stage at 9.30 at Rebellion Festival, Wintergardens, Blackpool. If any B C'ers going, please say hi :-)

  7. Similar thing for me. Have had many high end basses, however, the bass I mainly use, love and get the most comments on regarding tone is my squire mike dirnt precision bass.
I haven't changed the headstock decal, doesn't bother me it's not Fender :-)
