  1. Effectively a brand new Zoom B1 Four Bass Multi Effects pedal. Bought with the intention to get back into playing again, but never happened. Taken out box to check other than that brand new, warranty card unregistered and still has the sealed batteries in box. Collection from Bristol, can also deliver locally. Can post but additional cost.

OMG I was fascinated by this bass when I was a kid - it seemed like the perfect design. Is it as versatile as you might think?

Large array tone wise. Sliding the pick up on the rail alters the tone. Looks like a gimmic but surprisingly effective

    Always fancied one myself.

I once had a Quantum, which was essentially almost the same but with twin pickups & without the sliding pickup. One of my favourite basses I ever owned, and beat many of my boutiques hands down.

I must admit a quantum is on my bucket list as well 😊

  4. Just pulled trigger in purchasing this Bass. I’ve always fancied one but never got round to it. Having given up a few months ago due to fretting hand not working due to spine operation, I’m getting a little movement back, so treated myself to this as part of my recovery 😊

im sure this will be a marmite bass to many, but personally I love the look.

  5. Ade from Bristol, been playing on and off for over 40 years. Played with original bands all my bass playing time. Played for Open Sore (originall 1977 punk band featured Sean Burke and Barry benn of Tubeway Army. Played the roxy etc. The band featured on the farewell to the roxy album. My highlight was playing Blackpool winter gardens rebellion festival)also played and play for Naked Lunch (some bizarre records) 1980’s depeche mode quote them as being an influence in their autobiography.

Earlier in the year I lost use of my fretting hand due to abscess on the spine and got depressed and sold everything as I felt if I couldn’t play then why let good equipment gather dust.

my hand is slowly recovering and have started buying again. I have Yamaha bx-1, Westone the rail bass and a Kramer the duke bass. I am looking for a light weight budget rig or combo as I have been invited by Naked Lunch to play some shows so will go through house:venue pa but would be nice to have something on stage. Unfortunately I don’t have much budget due to being on ssp since March and only just started going back to work.  I hope my hand is up to playing the show/s either way it’s given me a goal.

anyway enough of my ramblings and hi everyone 👍😊

  6. I’m still not working due to left hand not working after operation, so need to generate money. This is a fantastic new rig, the all new mk2 Bass Terror is awesome and has a lovely warm clean tone. Any reasonable cash on collection offers will be considered. This has to go unfortunately.

  7. I sold my Bass Terror v2 plus one of my OBC112 Cabs leaving me just one cab to sell. So..,.

For Sale is the very latest Orange OBC112 veloce neo Bass cab in black tolex Which will come with a roqsolid cab cover

This item is literally unused. I purchased it from Pmt Bristol, but due to circumstances in health have ended up not used and are now for sale.

Retail price for this speaker is £389. My price is £275 collected giving a substantial saving for an incredible speaker cab.

    collection from Bristol.

What, can I ask, did the Consultant say about the loss of use in the arm? Is this not just a complication from the surgery that will mitigate with time and physio?

The surgeon said that abscess was large and the compression could have caused damage to the nerves affecting the left hand side. As a result of the surgery there is scarring and still infection within surrounding spine. He said there is hope that my hand may recover, but no guarantee it will or to what extent it will recover. I’m working hard each day physio wise and I get a lot of pain from what I can only guess at nerves trying to engage with fingers. It’s like pins and needles on fire.

i am hopeful but at the same time fearful.

Wow....major shock to the system I suspect...

As you say, with time, use of your hand may return. I'd be hoping that trying to use your left hand to play bass would help in the recovery. As @Mykesbass suggests, if you need the cash, sell the cabs but hang on to the bass. I have a pair of Vox Amphones which would be ideal if you decide to move the cabs on.

Most of all, positive mind set will help in your recovery.

Thank, sounds a good idea. I have feeling in my hand, but the nerves in it are not connecting or triggering to move my fingers etc. I do really hope in time it comes back.

i feel so down about the situation. Music has always carried me through good and bad times, so for it to be taken away from me is so so painful.

  10. Just recently bought a Fender jmj mustang (amazing bass), the new orange bass terror and a pair of the new orange 112 cabs. The orange rig I haven’t even rehearsed with or gigged with and I’m so gutted. Why?

3 weeks ago I was rushed into hospital with suspected heart attack, however upon arrival and after several scans and blood tests it turned out to be sepsis from a large abscess on my spine that had perforated. 6 hours under the knife and nearly died on the table, however I survived and I should be thankful, but I have lost use of my left hand. I’m hoping that in time the use will come back, but no guarantees.

i can’t say how sad this makes me after over 40 years of playing. My mind is all over the place.

im unsure whether to hang onto my kit and pray that one day I can play, or to list my kit in for sale section to secure me financially while I cannot work and start again if I ever regain use of hand.

any advice and support deeply appreciated.

  11. I’ve always played in originals bands, primarily punk or Electro Rock. Mainly either pick or finger style. A good friend of mine who writes and produces ska music has written two albums and has a lot of requests to play live, so he’s putting a live band together. He is insisting I play bass for him. Although I like ska music, I’ve never played it personally. So my first question is, what tips and references would you recommend so I can get into the groove in order to play.

my current set up is the new orange terror bass head and 2 x obc 112’s and my main bass being a fender mustang jmj bass. Any recommendations on settings to get a good tone for the music style.

thanks in advance for your advice
