  1. Just to let everyone know, I finally took my amp back to Orange & it turned out that it was just a faulty treble pot! Thanks for all your input! Cheers Tony
  2. I won't even try and pretend I know what all that means! So a define trip to Orange is on the cards. Thanks everyone 👍
  3. Maybe I'll give that a go, thanks. I must admit when I first contacted Orange I offered to send it to them, even offered to run it down to their factory in Borehamwood, but it fell on deaf ears 😑
  4. My first action was to email Orange and they gave me a guys details but he was miles away. I'm in Barnwell, about 16 miles away from Peterborough. So I took it to my old tech guy in Bedford but after he'd had two attempts i thought I'd ask around before taking it anywhere else. It has been intermittent in the past, but I think my techs hearing there's a signal and thinking he's fixed it, but it's not even at a ¼ of the volume.
  5. Hi, It's only about 2 years old. The newer model.
  6. Sorry, forgot to mention I've already tried it, it's exactly the same.
  7. Amp now Fixed - I took it into Orange and it turned out to be a dodgy treble pot! I've had the same problem, Just posted this 5 mins ago in the Repairs and Technical section. Did you ever get it fixed? Hi all, Over the last few months I've been having problems with my terror bass head. When I go through the pre-amp I'm only getting a fraction of the volume from the amp and sometimes nothing at all. But if I plug in through the send of the effects loop I get the full 500 watts of the power amp! So it's got to be a problem between the pre-amp and the power amp. I've tried changing the valves and lost faith in my local amp tech guy, as I've taken it to him twice now, only for me to get it home and find it's exactly the same. Anybody here had a similar problem? At the moment I've managed to get over the problem by running a 'two tones revolt bass pre-amp' into the power amp, which to be honest I really like the sound of, so will probably carry on with this set up, but I'd still like to get the amp fixed. Any ideas? Cheers Tony

  9. Yes, you can change cloth to a different cloth but can't change cloth to metal or vice versa. Something to do with the way they're fitted 👍
  10. Sold my Darkglass B7K pedal to IamJon after the original sale fell through. No problems second time around! Thanks for the quick payment👍
  11. I've just recently bought a Barefaced Six10 cab that came with a second silver cloth grill. I prefer the black grill that's already fitted, so this is up for sale. I'd prefer pick up in person, but I'm guessing it'll cost around £10 to £15 to post out. Any questions just give me a shout, thanks for looking!
  12. I'm Selling my TC Electronic Spectracomp Bass Compressor Pedal. I'm afraid I can't find the box so it's just the pedal, but it will be well packed if posted. There is a small chip on the bottom left corner under the TC logo, but you must look hard to see it & some of the print on the front has slightly rubbed off. Apart from that it's in excellent condition. Can be picked up from PE8 (Barnwell) or can be posted for an additional £8.95 signed for/fully insured. 13. Hi all, I'm selling my Darkglass Microtubes B7K V2 Analog DI Bass Preamp Pedal I've had the pedal for a couple of years now but have recently changed my set up, so it's no longer needed. It's in good condition apart from a few scratches on the back of the unit. Comes with the original box, instruction booklet (which has a bit of water/ beer? damage to the front) & sticky feet that haven't been used. Can be picked up from PE8 (Barnwell) or I can post recorded delivery/fully insured for an additional £8.95 Thanks for looking! Website blurb below: Design and Tone. Perfected. Tone crushing overdrive and super transparent modern sound is the essence of the Microtubes B7K. One of the most acclaimed Darkglass pedals in the bass community, it doesn´t compromise the original sound of the instrument, but it enhances its presence in the mix. Front Features Blend Mixes the clean input signal with the overdriven signal. The clean signal remains at unity gain while the volume of the overdriven signal is set by the Level knob, allowing for fine control of the blend ratio. Level Sets the volume of the overdriven signal. Drive Sets the amount of saturation in the overdriven signal. Attack Switch Sets the amount of treble content to saturate: The “Boost” setting emphasizes the treble content extra clarity and presence. The “Flat” position leaves this register untouched while the “Cut” position will reduce the amount of high frequencies being saturated. This new addition helps to keep the treble portion of the signal under control, specially useful when playing with new strings and/or cabinets with tweeters! 14. Hi all, I'm selling my Barefaced Four10 Cab with Roqsolid cover as I now have its big brother The Six10. The cab has some very slight lifting of the tolex on the back, (which is a well-known trait of these cabs) but otherwise in excellent condition. Comes with castors fitted that can be taken off if not required (I have the original rubber feet which are included in the sale). Can be collected and tried out at PE8 (Barnwell) or I can meet up halfway within a 75mile radius for petrol money. I'd rather not courier but if no other option is available, I could send insured for an extra £65 (Mainland UK Only). Any questions feel free to message me & thanks for looking. Specs from Bareface site: DIMENSIONS 24" high x 24" wide x 13" deep 61cm x 61cm x 33cm WEIGHT 24 kg / 53 lbs (steel grill) 22.5 kg / 49 lbs (cloth grill) BROADBAND SENSITIVITY 101dB - a few hundred watts will upset drummerists USABLE FREQUENCY RANGE 25Hz - 6kHz RECOMMENDED AMP POWER 75-1000W RMS MAXIMUM OUTPUT ~131dB (offensively loud) IMPEDANCE 8 ohms
  15. If I get a buyer for one of my four10 cabs I'll be in touch 🤞
  16. I don't think so, unless you sold it to Roger Davis in Warrington? Great cabs 🙂
  17. Hi All, I'm selling one of my Barefaced Four10 cabs as I'd like to eventually get a Six 10. I have two cabs and don't mind which cab I sell; both are in good condition with Barefaced covers and the usual tolex lift on the back of the cabs but nothing bad. If you have a Six 10 I'd be happy to figure out a trade with cash your way. Alternatively, I may be interested in swapping one of my Four10s for a Two10 (with steel grill & ohms switch) and cash coming my way. I want £700 for one cab. I'm based near Oundle PE8 but could meet up halfway within a 60-mile radius. Alternatively, you could come to mine and try the cabs out or I could courier with DPD (insured) for another £65 This is the first time I've sold anything on Bass Chat, but you can check my previous feedback out on Ebay https://www.ebay.co.uk/fdbk/feedback_profile/tonysotb Cheers Tony ** Have reduced the price as seen a six10 I'd like to buy**
  18. I beg to differ. The Laney DP150 head and cab that you sold me in the 90's must have been the most gutless amp that you've ever owned!🤣
