1.
Wizard can advise on pot values, you just have to get them from somewhere. My original Squier pickups are actually the same size as the neck pickup on my JV four string (bridge is wider!!) and Andy managed to get something to work (his original set didn't have a wide enough pickup pattern). I would imagine Fender use wider pups. If Andy can get hold of the same size casing, then he should be able to make you a pup to fit.
Looking good. So - how do these products (Wizard ad Viller) compare with EMG / Bartolini / Seymour Duncan etc.? Am I being a brand-snob? Quality just as good (if not better?) cheaper and better made?
 2.
In the boot with the seats up? I have a 118d 5 door hatch and can barely get a week's shopping from Sainsburys in mine. Can't wait for the lease to run out....
No way! Seats down... surprisingly roomy! And very, very fast... drinks petrol but hey, I get home 40mins faster than the rest of the band in the transit... Apparently, the coupe actually has more boot space than the hatch!
 3. I have a BMW 135 Coupe and can fit 2x basses (in a double gig bag) 2z 2 x10 cabinets bass head pedal board leads and stands and etc. Me and perhaps a can of red bull.... ........ the back seats DO fold down. in fact this was the main reason for buying it - AND the reason for buying the 2 2x10 cabs... (thanks to Darren at the bassmerchant for his patience as I went up and down the stairs with "if it will fit in the car, I will buy two!).
 4.
and wizard... http://wizardpickups.co.uk/shop.asp?category=Bass
Okay - I'm diggin it... but do any of these work with a 5-string? The Wizard stuff looks cool; but I also want to replace the pots etc. some DIY-type tomfoolery has left my controls in need of some TLC...
 5. Hi all, Am new here (yes, thankyou) and have a question for your collective knowledge / experience... Thinking about changing the pickups / electronics on my 2006 Fender Jazz 5 (just a Mex, nothing flash) to give it some more umph... have a Stingray and a BB615 and am finding I prefer the sting of active over passive... Any advise to which pickups to choose? EMGs? Basslines? Also pre-amps into the Jazz... easy to do etc? Appreciate your help... Ciao.
