RIP Algy. I read a while back that he wasn't well, think he's struggled a bit over the years.

Saw The Damned on Whistle Test repeated in the early 90s....I was blown away by his bass tone right there. Can only imagine how it sounded live.

Rotosound flats are amazing. I actually like the tension...makes any round seem way to floppy and zingy after playing those. 

I use 45-105's of these on both my Stingrays.

Love the feel, tone, the tension.....superb strings. I no longer use rounds, as I find them way to spongy and zingy....tried these a couple of years back, and I've never left.

My old one, Tom? Tempted....would go great with your old 1x15, which now resides with me! 😁

Damn! Just measured on the off-chance that it could maybe stretch to my 151 cab...bought from @Pestie and formally yours Tom! 😁

Got my second Stingray yesterday, direct from Will (as was my first).

Just wanted to add a huge +1 to everything said above. Instrument arrived absolutely ready to play. Like most of us, I've bought loads of basses over the years (and had some terrible experiences!) but now wouldn't go anywhere else. This is how you sell instruments! 👍

Ive actually just pulled the trigger for my backup....2EQ Stingray!

Should go well with my 3....mine is black/maple, the 2 is black/rosewood.

I've become a MM convert, and really couldn't think of or want to have anything else! First time I think I've ever actually liked my overall tone, so I'll stick to that.
