  1. Slipknot - Eyeless bass cover, from their 1999 Self Titled album. Another one of very solid Paul Gray's basslines from this LP. Arranged a bit brbr deng stuff here and there;] Nice fast stuff to play!
  2. Slipknot - SIC bass cover, from their 1999 Self Titled album. I remember how much impact this album made on me when I was only 14! Always wanted to cover Paul Gray's basslines from this LP, so here goes the first one. Very brutal & aggresive track! Feel free to share if you liked this bass playthrough!
  3. Mudvayne - Forget to Remember bass cover, from the 2005 Lost and Found album. Soundtrack from Saw II movie. Short, not complicated, powerfull! Fun to play this Ryknow's bassline. Feel free to share if you liked this bass playthrough!
  4. Mudvayne - Choices bass cover, from the 2005 Lost and Found album. My favourite song from this album. Great complex basslines, indeed a fine combination of powerful & melodic riffs! Enjoyed learning & playing this track a lot;] Feel free to share if you liked this bass playthrough!
  5. Sound samples of a Seymour Duncan Studio Bass Compressor pedal
  6. Had fun & great experience covering Tom Araya's bass line in Ryan Martinie's style!
  7. Mudvayne - Rain Sun Gone bass cover, from the 2005 Lost and Found album. This is a bit monotonous song, but it runs over you like a roller! A melodic interlude gives a moment of breath, but then it crashes you again. Cool bassline by Ryknow. Feel free to share if you liked this bass playthrough!
  8. Mudvayne - Fall into Sleep bass cover, from the 2005 Lost and Found album. Nice calm & melodic verse riffs combined with powerfull choruses! I really like playing this Ryknow's bassline, and the outro is just enormous!
  9. Lamb of God - Descending bass cover, from the 2006 Sacrament album. It's quite an easy, but is really fun to play this John Campbell's bassline! I added some brbr deng stuff here and there to make it a bit more interesting.
  10. Thank you! I have similar thoughts. My fav is wenge-neck, passive mode, steel strings (I used nickels in this vid).
  11. These are some interesting thoughts, thanx for sharing them! I'll also copy-paste my YT comment here: I think the '01 NT is closer to my former '03 BO in sound, but the '95 is closer to the bolt-on when it comes to body shape & neck profile. Both NTs are great - I prefer the wenge one, it has a bit darker tone, sounds more mean in nasty in the mix for me, and it's lightly more comfy to play. Cheers!
  12. You're welcome! I pfrefer active wenge of all the sound samples. It's also manually more comfy for me, whereas the ovangkol looks more sexy;]
  13. Did a bass shootout / sound comparison between 2 Warwick Thumb NT 5 basses - one with wenge neck and the other with ovangkol neck. Which one you like better?
  14. Did a bass shootout / sound comparison between 2 Warwick Thumb NT 5 basses - one with wenge neck and the other with ovangkol neck. Which one you like better?
  15. It's been far too long since I did a bass cover... Finally glad to use my '95 Warwick Thumb NT 5 for the first time on this one!
  16. NBD! Warwick Thumb NT 5 from 1995 with wenge neck & 18V 3-band MEC preamp.
  17. New Cannibal Corpse album is out! Here's my Murderous Rampage bass cover from Violence Unimagined! Alex Webster is one of my Top3 favourite bassplayers, and Cannibal Corpse has been a band I've been listening to for a very long time (since 1998). Their last LP is simply great! This is the opening song of this album. Alex shows he's still one of the best death metal musicians out there... Fast, aggresive riffs - this piece of music simply roars! Great song to play.
  18. Yes, it's sold. I may be selling Thumb NT in the near future though!
  19. Otep - Ghostflowers bass cover, from the 2007 The Ascension album. Very complex bass line written by pretty unknown & even more underestimated Jason "eViL J" McGuire. His aggresive playing style & suberb unique sound is the foundation of my favourite song from this album. The song itself is quite demanding and challenging, but it was really fun to play.
  20. Mudvayne - Happy? bass cover, from the 2005 Lost and Found album. They are back! I'm so hyped about Mudvayne reunion, hope they will record a new album really soon. In the meantime, hope you all feel the same way that I do right now... Are you feeling Happy?! This is quite simple but powerful song! Very nice melodic verse riffs and coll tapping on chorus - I really enjoyed learning this bassline by Ryknow. Feel free to share if you liked this bass playthrough!
  21. Mudvayne - Determined (bass cover) Simple but powerful song! Not much work here to do, but I really enjoyed learning this bassline by Ryknow.
  22. Thank you very much!👽 My right hand position is very comfy for me, no muscle tension whatsoever;] I guess it's a technique thing - I attack the strings from a different angle than you, more aggresively (though I'm not heavy handed), to get my strings to hit the frets. Your video is very nice! Keep up the good work👽
  23. Muse - Hysteria bass cover, from the 2003 Absolution album. Hysteria bassline is a kind of a must-play thing by every self-respecting bass player... Wonderful work by Chris Wolstenholme! Quite demanding, but very superb piece of music to play on bass. And man, that sound...! Feel free to share if you liked this bass playthrough!
  24. Mudvayne - World So Cold bass cover, from the 2002 The End of All Things to Come album. This is kinda Mudvayne ballad... I really enjoyed playing this one;] Ryan Martinie did a great job here, combining softer & more aggresive riffs into this tremendous bassline! Definitely my favourite bass track to play from this album. Feel free to share if you liked this bass playthrough!
  25. Mudvayne - Not Falling bass cover, from the 2002 The End of All Things to Come album. Very fast, aggresive, powerfull & energetic song... It realy is a true headbanger! Ryknow did a great job here, using all his brbr deng in this song. And man, that "clean parts" on bass are terrific!
