The shotgun's fine. But I would have walked the minute I saw the flying V.

Blimey. I'm the opposite of that really, I don't think I could be in a band with people I didn't think of as friends. A big part of the reason my soul band has lasted for nearly 30 years is that we're all mates.
Same.
Being in a band for me is, and always has been about hanging around with my mates.
But then again I suppose it depends on your level. If your a professional paid musician then it's just a job and you get on with it.
For me music is a hobby. I can't imagine anything worse than it just being a job and playing with relative strangers.

Rockin' in the Free World.
I played it once in my old covers band then jacked in because I didn't want to be associated with a band that would play such utter shite.

Basschat is coming pretty close to being dead to me.
Almost every thread turns into a pointless bitch fest which has little or nothing to do with the original post.
It's all getting rather tedious.

I knew who the poster of this thread was without looking, as soon as I read the title.

Is there anyone who doesn't believe Ryanair is just a massive cash grab? Michael O'Leary is pretty damned mercenary.
Very true. But love them or loathe them, along with easyJet I've never found a cheaper way to travel, and probably wouldn't be living here in Bulgaria if it weren't for the many cheap trips I've taken with them.

Cadburys. What is this slop now offered under that name?
I haven't had Cadbury chocolate for years. They don't sell it here.
My wife's just gone back to the UK for a couple of weeks and I've put in an order for her to bring back loads of Cadbury chocolate that I've been craving.
Should I prepare to be disappointed? ☹️

The guitarist in my band has a couple of these and they sound great.
The tuners are green to replicate the original Gibson Les Paul tuners.
I had the same on a Vintage brand Les Paul and didn't like them either.
They just looked really cheap and tacky plastic to me.

I was going to apply for this but there's no way I'm crossing the great chemtrail belt of north Devon.

"Hello this is Currys customer services, how can I help?"
"You've been taking a direct debit from my account for years, as far back as I can see in my statements. I don't use that account for direct debits, and never, ever buy extended warranties"
"I'll get that stopped and refund it all back to you"
Obviously not the first time they had a conversation like that, but a nice surprise that they handed my money back without hassle. Actually some good customer service for a change but I still haven't bought anything from them since
Vodafone - Exactly the same reason.
For a long time in my life I never checked my back statements. When I finally did I saw a monthly £10 charge from Vodafone. I hadn't even had a Vodafone contract for over 3 years. When I disputed the charge with Vodafone they said I had signed up to an extended warranty. I knew this was a lie because it's something I never have, and would never do for any product. So I asked them to produce the contract as proof. A couple of weeks later I received a cheque for just under £500.
It was a nice little savings scheme I didn't even know I was in. But it makes me wonder how many other people have been ripped off without realising it.

Technically my highschool band from 35 years ago never broke up.
We just discovered girls and forgot we were in a band.

I've only heard good things about Jet guitars.
Certainly one to watch to give Harley Benton a run for their money.

I teach English online via webcam and my office is my studio with all my instruments in the background.
I constantly get asked by my students about music and often tell them all about my band.
We haven't played together in almost a year but according to the old YouTube channel we're now very popular in China. 😆

London Weekend Television.
The wife of their chief executive asked if her husband could get up and sing Eric Clapton's cocaine (small pub gig during Edinburgh Festival).
I said no.
She had a strop and said she'd make sure my band would never appear on LWT while her husband was in charge.
.....and she was right, we didn't.
Wow that's a coincidence.
My band has never appeared on LWT either.
What a bitch!

He's not the target audience. 😆

Phoenix Life, I claimed part of my pension early and they have done nothing but come up with fake excuses to stall the process and I'm still waiting for my money, months after I should've had it....I feel like I've been scammed, it's bordering on fraud.
I'm currently battling with them to claim my mother's life insurance, and had the same problem 2 years ago when my Dad died.
They are utter scumbags!

Whetherspoons.
Not because they're supposedly full of pond life. I never found that to be the case. I used to work away from home, live in hotels all week, and at one time or another went to pretty much every Whetherspoons in Britain for a cheap and cheerful meal and a pint or two.
But since the B word that shall not be mentioned I would never put another penny in Tim Martin's pocket.
The man is an absolute bell end.

Judging by that list it would appear that I'm American.
Most of the stuff listed on the Brit side I can't stand. Especially the late 80's early 90's Manchester crap like Oasis, The Happy Mondays, Stone Roses etc. They were all rubbish (of course only my opinion) Whereas a lot of the band's mentioned stateside are amongst my favourite bands of all time.
While most of my classmates were listening to Oasis I was listening to Alice Cooper.

So our first rehearsal for a while last night at our usual spot. We use a village church and have done for years at reasonable rates with our fees being welcomed to the up keep of the building. After we finished our drummer had this on his car which I am temped to add to our posters and possibly a t-shirt. I also think "The Gospel of Salvation" could be a great future band name!
I'd be well pleased with that.
Abomination to God would be my first album title.

This might seem like a rant but I reckon there's an increasing number of folk having load-in issues....

Ah the joys of gigging.
I went to the bar last night. Had a couple of beers. Got home. Watched a bit of telly. Only thing I had to carry was my wallet.
You've got to absolutely love the gigging thing to put up with it. I never did.
