  1. I've always read dots, sightread & charts from nn early age. In my experience  the only times I've actually used them is working in the pits, cruises & my own teaching practice. Even doing sessions they normally use give me a chart or tell me the basic structure. It's a great skill to have, but it's use is sadly declining (for me and players I know)

  2. I'm sort of in the boat with the changes between rounds & flats for different gigs.. Getting really bad blisters from rounds at the moment. John Deacon can be seen licking his fingers before different passages live quite a few times. Although never nose grease, I do occasionally moisten my fingers just a little bit to "ease the pain"

I always change strings on pre owned instruments you don't know where they've been 😂

  3. Played with a Manic Street Preachers & Stereophonics tribute band on Saturday. Decent crowd, good band (old boys) but the singer was a bit off. Would start tracks on his own, chop & change the set as we went. I'm depping with them again next month, fingers crossed he doesn't do that again.

I had one for a while and they are good fun to mess around on. I imagine if you're actively recording you will definitely find some good uses for it! Enjoy!

Yea I'm fancying recording some spaghetti western type themes at the moment

    Enjoy your new bass.

For getting the best out of a Bass VI, have a look at this thread - in particular EssentialTension's posts about strings, set up, shimming the neck and replacing the bridge. Then move on to my review of the Bass VI including more set up and modification advice. Then you might want to have at look at this thread about the alternatives.

Thanks for the input! it's going off to my tech in the next few days I'll definitely look through those now thank you 👍

  6. Surplus to requirements & space! Good condition, a few scratches to the corner protectors & comes with fitted Roqsolid cover with bottom flap.

Open to offers of course. Pickup preferred but could deliver within reason. Currently in storage, so apologies for the rubbish pics.

The standard 151HR 1 x 15" cab will never leave you lacking in the bottom end department. Many players find that 15" speakers give them a deep, classic sound that suits many music styles. This cabinet can be used on its own, but combining it with a Traveler 102P or a standard 104HR makes for one powerful stack.

  7. Picked up this bass vi at a music store/studio I freelance at. Ex demo model for a great price! Needs new strings & set up etc. I've alway been interested in this instruments history & usage in different genres.

Use the "Report" option by rolling the mouse to the top right corner of the post. Ask the mods to close it for you.

They will periodically close sold items en masse by doing a search of the word "Sold" which you can add by editing the original post.

    Marvellous issue resolved thank you
