Joshbasscana replied to Joshbasscana's topic in Bass Guitars
Cheers guys - its super bad timing as I've got 2 shows in Norway and I'm flying tomorrow morning! I've got my musicman bongo bass as backup anyway. I will let you know the serial numbers when I get back. Gutted doesn't quite cut it! Thanks anyway guys. -
Hey guys, Just to give you bass lovers a heads up about a red lakland duck Dunn bass that was stolen this evening on Randall Street, Sheffield. It was in a musicman bass case. Stolen between the hours of 6.50pm-8.00pm Please can you keep eyes and ears peeled for this...? Many thanks, Josh
Greetings Joshbasscana.... What's the fingerboard material? And what style of logo: is it the earier serif logo or the later smaller block sans-serif logo?
Im not too sure about the fingerboard material tbh. Its the earlier Serif logo on the headstock. That I know! I can email pics if you want? Let me know what it is if you're interested.

THIS IS NOW SOLD! Hello, Its time for me to let go of a good friend of mine. Thanks to the chaps in the other thread on bass chat when I was trying to nail the date of this bass. Muchos gracias! I am selling my 1975 Fender Precision Bass which I have now owned for around 18 months. The serial number on the neckplate is 626410 which dates it to 1975 during the CBS era. I know the 2 previous owners who are good guys and have looked after this. The bass has had a respray a while ago from it's original white colour to black. I have alos recently had the tone knob fixed and the innards replaced as it wasn't working at all. This is a fabulous bass. The pickups really do have true character with a bit of grit. The bottom end is truly lush. Im selling due to raising some funds to put towards a new car. Im wanting to replace this bass with a Lakland Duck Dunn so if anyone wants to do a swap plus cash Im all up for that. PRICE NOW DROPPED TO £1000. (im having major trouble uploading the pictures due to an error code, so if you are GENUINELY interested, get in contact and i'll email you the pics Cheers!)

That is a right gem of a thread Musky. That's commitment to the P Bass cause Im going to take the neck off to see if it is on there.

Wowzers, that's potentially great news Will there be a serial number on the bottom of the neck - the part which is unseen (connected the main body of the guitar)? Ive googled this and there could be a serial number there. Just wanted to make sure before I take the neck off to have a look!

I am trying to establish the date of my Fender P Bass. Ive been told its between a late 70's and early 80's but Im really not sure. The neck plate has a number on it - 626410, but Im not sure if this is anything to go by? Is there anything else that can give me a clue to the true date of this P bass? Josh

Hey guys, Wanting to sell my Edirol UA-25 Interface. Its been a workhorse to me over the years, laid down a lot of stuff with it! But it's time to move on. Im gutted to sell this but I need to - money is calling! It is the old style interface and I've put a link a below to the spec of it. I havent got any pictures yet because it is currently at my band's studio. I can't find the box for this, so it is just the interface and the USB cable. Ive also added the link to the drivers for the interface if you need to install any for your PC/Mac. http://www.roland.com/products/en/UA-25/specs.html http://www.roland.com/products/en/_support...m?PRODUCT=UA-25 £70 and it's yours. Cheers, Josh
