  1. What about no high end spirits? Lol Daryl
  2. Short clip. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/9Wm6i4tzij58FVqS/
  3. The Baaree is sort of in a residential zone. It's not anything they enforced on us. Daryl
  4. The Sunday 4-7 Maple Road gig at The Baaree turned out pretty good. Decent size engaged crowd, low stage volume and we were good. Not much for pictures. Check out the guidelines for bands. I'd say it's pretty fair. Daryl
  5. Ooops, the submit button was a little weird? Daryl
  6. Full Maple Road band at The Baaree this Sunday 3-7. I would have preferred a Friday or Saturday night but Sunday afternoons can be good . Cool venue; https://www.facebook.com/share/r/UCMsAEB5T855roHb/

  8. Thanks, I'll check it out and maybe save some $$$. Daryl
  9. Over here in the Milwaukee area Classic rock has a bit of a chance but not much else. For example; Daryl
  10. Stub, I'm actually thinking about the Kemper Stage Floor . I'll go direct out into the sound system and use the monitor. I'll be able to show up at a gig with a backpack my bass and a stand. All my gig money goes towards my property taxes Daryl
  11. Really, there's nothing worse than showing up at gig and your primary contact is nowhere to be found and the staff knows nothing about live music and bands . I always wonder if when a band is booking a new bar gig if anyone ever asks " is your clientle interested in live rock music?" Daryl
  12. I could go on playing forever. Unfortunately I can't go on traveling and loading in and out and setting up and tearing down Daryl
  13. We had a lot of bars that did well with live local music. I'm not sure what change in ownership means to you guys but in my little world it has always meant, no more live music put in pool tables and they're closed within a few months. Out of business. Daryl
  14. Been there more times than I care to admit. All it takes is one " cracking" gig for me to recover. Daryl
  15. I have the same board. Where can I get those LEDs? Daryl
  16. Nice one Dave. I need a break like that. We have two big gigs coming up soon this month. Daryl
  17. Sounds good. 👍 Daryl
  18. Love the lighting. The band looks great. Daryl
  19. I refused, I don't smoke . Daryl
  20. It's why I like 80 minute featured shows. And believe me they're hard to come by for us. It's easy to manage 80 minutes. It's a much faster paced performance than a festival or fair show. Daryl
  21. We're pretty lose with set lists unless it's a higher profile theater show. Daryl
  22. Pete, Maple Road hasn't rehearsed in years and that's with adding two new members. I'm a guy that believes in specific agenda driven rehearsals. Im not big on unstructured free form rehearsals I don't see rehearsals in our future. Everyone is young and busy. It would be great to nail down a few things we struggle with. Daryl
  23. Dave,I think the post hit home with a lot us because we've been there. Last weekend we played on the deck of a residential home. There's a video clip, but it's not worth sharing. I've played on grass and I remember playing in a tent with no stage playing on dirt ,no grass. Off topic. Our local Milwaukee guitar hero Greg Koch is visiting England this week. https://www.facebook.com/share/r/VJMhikXSREHZBUcN/ Daryl
  24. Things have changed over here since Covid. The standard bar/pub gig was 4 hours with two 15 minute breaks. Now it's 3 hours with the same breaks. I'm bragging a bit here, but after 17 years Maple Road no longer books bar gigs. We do winerys, brewerys, private events, festival, fairs and theaters. We plays an average of about two hours. Daryl
