My gig was 5 minutes from my condo. On the way home I missed my turn at the high school. 15 minutes later I'm lost driving on a back countryside road. Now you understand why you see " I'll be picked up" in most of my gig reviews. Lol Daryl

I have a 3-6 acoustic gig tomorrow at The Ziegler Winery. Very nice upscale well appointed room. This one is at least an hour commute one way. I'll be picked up at 12:30 and I'll get home around 8:00. Daryl

I hope your back in remission ASAP. Daryl

Yes, I think you're right about 5150. Daryl

Sectioned is horrible. So is committed. I don't think process is any different over here. Definitely not hilarious. Daryl

Can I steal that one? Daryl

Sectioned , I've never heard that before. I've heard, committed and locked up. Daryl

Our drummer got up to go to the bathroom in the middle of a song at a gig. It's why I don't eat before or during a gig. Daryl

It could have been worse. I'm at the age where if you sneeze anything could happen. Daryl

Watched it last night. Usually those long benefit concerts can't hold my attention. But I couldn't get away from this one. I watched the whole thing. To me it was a great example of where we're at with pop music. Everyone seemed to be on fire. From Rod Stuart to Earth Wind & Fire and everything in between. Stevie Nick's band held their groove like nobody's business. Stevie & Sting's " Higher Ground" was fantastic. I could go on and on about the performances and the productions. It was Pink that really got me into it. When you've got the time and your in the right mood please watch it. Daryl -
I'll start. We were playing a " so called" high end blues festival in Baraboo. A 2 hour drive. They told us we would have a pro stage, lighting and a pro sound crew. We get there and it's pouring raining, The tent had several leaks, the stage looked like it was made from stacked up milk crates. The 2 sound guys appeared to be in their early 80s. I asked them if they would xrl my amp to the sound, neither one moved. They .merely pointed to and xrl lead laying in the grass, as if I was supposed to do it myself. Apparently they didn't recognize me. Daryl

We've had tto cancel due to low ticket sales In our case I saw it coming. I think it happens to a lot of bands I hope you guys have better luck next time. Daryl

Thanks, for some unknown reason I can't edit the name. Daryl

From what I've read here seems like a lot of bands are struggling with getting gigs. You mentioned the biker rally gig next month. We live in the heart of Harley land and surprisingly we "bomb out" at most biker gigs. The classic rock bands do better at those events. I'll be looking to hear about any good gigs that come up for the Glam band. Daryl

In the summer we might see a few 2 a week bookings. I can do it, however it's not easy and it usually takes me a few days to recover. Daryl

I know the feeling. We're traditionally not busy in February and March. 2 months of no gigs brings me down. At this point in life it shouldn't bother me, but it does. Dave, I'm assuming in the summer you guys have a festival and fair season.Does the Glam band play those kind of events in the summer? Daryl

Not a bad gig. We had a respectable crowd. A little over 50 people. I think that's pretty good considering we're really not a "pay at the door" band. Nice room, however the sound and lighting looked vintage 1979. But we made it work. The band was sounding good tonight. I couldn't get any decent pics. I did see that Peter Asher and Alvin Lee played there not to long ago. So we were in very good company. Daryl Daryl

I got into this because I like being in control. For me, if I'm impaired I've lost that control. Daryl
