1. Hi. I have a Streamer double buck and noticed yesterday it will not tune up. On closer investigation I found the Headstock at the top, had started to split on one of the joins, the thinner darker wood. It's not noticeable but definitely moves. Can this be repaired or can I obtain a new neck at a reasonable price. Help appreciated
  2. Hi. I have a Streamer $$ and the output jack (barrel type) is constantly failing. I have had it replaced with a switchcraft, but that has now started to crackle at times. Are there any alternatives. Help appreciated
  3. This problem seems to be pedal related. I am using (in order) Polytune mini - TC Electronics Corona chorus - 3 leaf Pwnzor compressor. These are powered by a 1 spot power supply to a 4 way daisy chain (yep only using 3). On a couple of occasions, approx halfway through a gig, the volume drops considerably. I bypassed the pedals and went direct into the amp and all was fine apart from no effects! I took the Pwnzor out of the equation as it seemed the most likely culprit, last number on Saturday's gig the same thing happened. !! This is only using the chorus and tuner. Could it be the power supply.(rated at 1700 Ma) I am at a loss as to what to try next

    Volume Issues

Hi. Thanks for the replies. The pedals are powered by a "1 spot" and daisy chained. But I will be looking into a more substantial system like the gig rig. Or even power them individually. The Pwnzor has internal charge pump circuitry to produce 18 volts of headroom from a standard 9 volt supply for plenty of clean headroom Perhaps it's pulling too much power using all 3 pedals from one supply ?? Cheers

    Volume Issues

Hi. I am using a Pwnzor compressor and TC Electronics chorus. with a TC Electronics Polytune. Gigging last night and halfway thru a number the volume halves (as if the compressor had turned off). No button clicking just the compressor always on. Checked and all pedals were as they should be. Linked straight from bass to head bypassing the pedals and volume returned so finished gig that way. At the end of the gig. re-connected pedals to test everything and it was fine, This is really confusing me as I have also checked it at home this morning and it's fine. It's making me nervous as what to use for the next gig. It's almost like when something gets hot it cuts out. Then re-connects when cooled. ??? Currently using Tuner - Compressor - Chorus Any ideas REALLY APPRECIATED Bassbum
  7. Any idea of the effects I could use to recreate the sound on the bass for this tune. I do have (luckily) an X3 pro. Have tried various chorus effects but cannot seem to nail it. Help really appreciated

  9. Hi, does anyone know of the Westone Pantera X790 and what it might be worth. I might just be thinking of buying one. Thanks in advance.
  10. Apologies, lack of following directions. Perhaps moderators can move it?
Yes it was in a shop for that long, so I`m told, unless he bought it in new from somewhere else....in fact I feel ripped because the guy who owns the shop is a ...well kinda like a friend. Someone I know very well and have done work for at a discount rate (I feel a rage coming on) But I was hoping for a possible £200. Am I being too optimistic?
Ah well. Managed a measly £160.00 for the old friend. I really wish I could have kept it. Never mind.... a new Warwick Streamer $$ to ease the sorrow.......whoopeeeeee!!!!

  14. Hi. Just got myself a beauty Streamer $$ natural and am looking for some advice on the preferred body treatment (steady now) Claytons Carnauba wax has been suggested but I have never heard of it. Any advice from you guys that have experience with oiling and waxing bodies would be appreciated. :brow: No...this is not a porn hack attempt Thanks in advance.
  15.
Must admit did a double take then - I used to keep mine in an Ibanez case as well! Its difficult to price and I dont understand how you bought something that was made in 1995 new a couple of years ago - was it hanging on the shop wall for 10 years? The £450 paid above was absolutely top dollar and I would expect to get considerably less unless you are very lucky.
Yes it was in a shop for that long, so I`m told, unless he bought it in new from somewhere else....in fact I feel ripped because the guy who owns the shop is a ...well kinda like a friend. 16.
Over the last couple of days, it appears the forum has been subject to a series of spam attacks. Some of you will have probably noticed that a few of these user accounts have managed to post some pretty graphic content, not suitable for a R13 forum. Firstly I'll apologise to any of you who stumbled across this content while browsing. Secondly it looks like they might be using a bot to register up to 15 user accounts each day and make posts. I have already left a message with Phatmonkey about the possibility of introducing some kind of Captcha facility at registration in the hope we can make it more difficult for bogus accounts to be registered. Finally not all of it is graphic in nature, but if you could notify a mod the instant you spot anything we'd be grateful. Until we get some additional security measures in place we're going to have to fight this using the Admin equivalent of hand to hand combat. Unfortunately its almost unavoidable that some spam from the more plausible looking accounts is bound to get through.
Hi Guys. I also run a forum using IPB. I followed the instruction of updating the patch but the site was still getting spammed. I then added a new field to the registration form which seems to have stopped them. If you havnt found the instructions they are ont the IPB forum site ......oh hang on...... Got it! This worked for me. Navigate your way here... Admin CP > Management > Users And Groups > Custom Profile Fields > Add New > And enter the following information... Field title > Anti-Spam Check Question Description > Is snow hot or cold? 17. Hi Guys. Nice to find so much info on the SGC series. I have a `95 320 made in Japan that I need to sell. It is in really good condition. I bought it new from a shop approx 2 years ago and am wondering what price I should expect if placed on Ebay. I need the cash to pay for a new Warwick I have just fallen for. Would love to keep the 320 but finances won`t allow! Thanks in advance.
