  1. Keely Compressor pro. This thing is a miracle. I've done MXR, Empress. When I got to have an amp, Keely is it.
  2. Well. I'll try to give you a little something to think about. I'll start at the begging of your post. Mesa gear. I've been a GK guy since the 400B. Had a couple of em. As well as the GK 4412H cabs. As I recall I had 4 of em. Went all through the 400rb. 800rb into the MB series. Which I loved. Then GK rolled out it's current line. Don't judge me. I owned all of it. Well, the 800s and the 1200s. I skipped the 500s. But yes, both the Legacy and the fusions. Did not like em. So, I tried the Mesa D-800+. Me likely through my old, with new driver's cabs. Switched to Mesa Subway cabs. Got a pair of 410s. Loved em!! Got a pair of 212s. OMG LOVE EM!!! So naturally. Me thinks. Well, if this works, the WD800 and the TT800 must be even better. The WD and the TT are as different from each other as they are different from the D-800+. 3 different great sounds. But the WD and the TT did not sit well. With me. I let em go the way of the GKs. So, I was left with 2 D-800+ Subway heads and 2 410 and 2 212 Subway cabs. I stumble on some new Epifani heads at a local shop. LOVE EM!. The UL901. Oh my. My favorite flavor by far but still not a D-800+ killer. Now the band has gone primarily amp less. I'm using "Alien ears". I mostly use my 5-driver set. But I have an 8-driver set I keep as backup. What's he using instead of amps? The Quad Cortex. Now the band. We are 2 years old as a group. We are about to release our 4th song. Once we have 6 fully released, we have an appointment with Atlantic records. Talk is a national (possibly) tour, opening for an established act. Who? We don't know yet. We will need to finish at least 15 songs to be able to perform a complete opening set. Maybe 17/18 songs. We (I) would love to cross the pond. London, Manchester and a host of other areas are on my to see list. As well as many areas of the EU. But my best guess (if all goes as planned) this could be 3/4 years out. I would hope for sooner. For now, we are writing and gigging. Our schedule is full, with more shows being crammed between shows we already have. 2023 is technically, 100% booked. And 2024 already has booked dates. I just realized... I forgot the most important part. My basses. 3 American made Fender 5 string Jazz. 2 American 5 string Precisions. And one custom built PJ. All have Seymore Duncan pickups. Except for one of the Precisions, which will remain stock. Long winded. Could have been laid out in paragraphs. Would have read better. I apologize for that. But... internet. If there are questions please feel free to ask. I don't take a lot of pictures personally. But we have a photographer that follows us. So I can put up one with my PJ.
  3. I hope you like it. I have owned the entire amp line except for the D-350. The TT-800 and WD-800 just weren't for me. The D-800+ on the other hand ticked every box. Amazing control and tone paired with their Subway 212 and 410 cabs. I now proudly have a pair of each. The 410 and 212 stacked are impossible to find a favorite. Now I also have an Epifani UL901 which is just as full of great tone as the Subway. I recommend considering Epifani if Subway isn't available. I consider mine a jewel.
  4. We're still pulling off 3-4 gigs a week. It's a crazy schedule, but we're loving it. 23 has been 100% booked since last year and 24 is already well underway to being the same. Just finished another 3-show week. Every show has been packed and crowd always stays till we finish. Then we have a rough time loading out because everyone feels they need to talk to us. Anyhoo. Off today. Rehearsal tomorrow. Off Tuesday. Then gang busters again with gigs Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. I've forgotten how to sleep.
  5. Last night's gig was again a packed house. Doing it again tonight.
  6. 23 is already busy. Last night's gig was a packed-out house as usual. Today off. Now we got the next 3 days to play up and down the Florida west coast. 23 is 100% booked. But talks of a national tour arose again. We'll know by April.
  7. Both of these are 2021 MIA Precisions. They have 17.5mm spacing. I've compared them to BTBs that do have 19mm spacing. There is a difference. FYI these are my 2 Precision 5'ers. I only play 5 string. I don't own any 4 string instruments. But I do have 6 of em.
  8. We have a December 30th and 31st gig. Both venues usually degenerate into crazy parties. The one on NYE especially. Tha band is happy as we make bundles of $$$ usd. In Florida USA.
  9. I've had my QC for about a month. Band is ampless with IEM. Amp sim, Parametric, compression, chorus and noise gate are all I'm currently running. Output 2 is set to fully dry. Man this thing rocks.
  10. I miss my amp sometimes. Don’t get me wrong. My in ears and Quadcortex sound amazing and not having to hump a stack is crazy cool. But I have 2 full Mesa Subway stacks that sound incredible. But the future calls.
  11. I have Alien Ears. I have a 5-driver set (3 low, 1 mid, 1 high). They are fantastic. So good I ordered anther 8 driver set (4 low, 2 mid, 2 high). Can't really tell the difference. So, I primarily use the 5 driver set and keep the 8 as backup. The best part is no hauling around amps. I do have a Gator rack with my 2 wireless units and a Furman in. I'm using a QuadCortex to feed FOH. Amp sim, Parametrix, Compressor, noise gate. As well as a completely dry channel. My sound has never been better. I do miss my amps sometimes.
  12. Tom Peterson is one of my all-time favorites. The Dream Police is one of my all-time favorite albums. I've seen CT 3 or 4 times. Amazing show. Robin Zander lives about 10 miles away from me. I haven't had the luck of crossing paths with him. Maybe one day. I actually had one of those Ibanez 8 string basses. I even had a local guy build me an 8 sting once. Lately I've thought about trying to find a 10 string. I'm hopelessly addicted to 5 string. But I just got a Quadcortex so I probably don't need it.
  13. Well. Mostly we gig a minimum of 3 times a week. But tis the season and vacations are rolling in. We played our last gig last Saturday night and now we enjoy 13 days off. We start back on the 30th. Ironically at the same venue we played last Saturday. Then we go straight to our New Years gig on the 31st. Then off till Jan 3. After that the next thing I'll know is it's Christmas again.
  14. Thank you all for the welcome. Personally I have no hatred of any brand of gear. But if it don’t work I speak up. I’m a Fender freak. I do not like any other brand. But that’s just what works for me. Precisions and Jazz Basses are all I own or play. I don’t even like Alembics. Who would take a $15k us Bass to a bar gig? Same with Fodera and Sadowsky. Don’t like their 5’s. But I love me some Mesa Boogie. Their new Subway line blows everything away. Love Epifani as well.

    Hello

Working pro here. Proud owner of 6 Fender 5 string instruments. Mesa Subway D-800+ head’s definitely do it for me. As well as my custom Epifani UL901. I sport 2 Mesa Subway 212 cabs as well as 2, 410 Mesa Subway cads. As far as amps go. I’ll never let these go. All the instruments are MIA Fender American Pro series 1 and 2. All 5 string. As far as music of choice, I find myself playing what the masses seem to want to hear. We started as modern country. And are slowly creating our own genre. And it is being well received. Record companies are interested. We got a lawyer. We got booking agent and manager. Contracts. The future is exciting.
  16. Thank you. I am kinda a Fender junkie. 5 string is all I play. Fortunately my wife understands.
