After being messed around by DV247 and having an upset 8 year old daughter, it is back to the drawing board to find her a bass.
I had not seen these yet nor could I find too much information on the interweb about them, but has anybody tried one?

Oddly, there doesn't appear to be anything on this forum (unless I am looking wrong).
It is a bit more than I was looking to pay, hence the DV247 Route, but the 28.5" scale is really appealing as my bairn is just a wee un.
She is already kicking backside at drums and is keen to get the rhythm section under her command.
If anybody has an opinion on these, do let me know.
Cheers.

Well I have an upset 8 year old.
Cancelled the order. Baffled by their poor communication and failed promises.

Good rockumentary, but not great.
wouldn’t put it up in my favourites.

It's all a bit meh.
Certainly won't be racing back to use them again.

Are they definitely open during the lockdown? Lots of retail businesses aren’t.
They are. Almost sorted but they rang back when I was in the middle of filming.

Do you have tracking info? When you say "chased", did you call them? If you sent an email, was it to a 'no reply' email address?
Of course.
One of them automated call back things.

Came looking for some information on these lot and found this thread.
2 weeks since my order and not a peep from them.
I have chased again today. I will give them the benefit of the doubt at, as I am a nice guy and times are tough, but I am not keen when a customer has to chase.
Hoping for some good news today.

Love mine. My go to bass for pure strumming joy. If I had the money etc....

Surely it is entirely subjective and therefore completely pointless.
Not enough places given to Hooky though.

Interesting discussion. This might be a cultural issue.
In my conservative neck of the woods I believe. more people are going to come out in droves and get crazy more than those who stay home.
We had a big protest here in Milwaukee yesterday They want to open the State up now. They don't like our Governor's May 26th open date

Very true. However I think small gigs have been in decline in the U.K. for years. People just don’t go out that much anymore.
im hoping for a light bulb moment for love independent bands and venues when People realise how good a night out is in a dive bar in a small town.
we can but hope.

Mine arrived this morning. Brilliant piece of kit for the price. Going to come in very handy sat in the garden during lockdown.

My own bass tone.

This could be great for my daughter when she gets her bass. So I’ve ordered One. Of course I’ll put it through it’s paces first...

There was a similar discussion some time ago, so search might help a bit.

Morning all, hope everyone is staying safe and well during the craziness.
I don't post on here much, but when i do there is some really good info. So I am hoping some of you cool cats can help me with this.
My 8 year old daughter is killing it on the drums at the moment and was booked in for her first exam. However, when will that be now? Nobody knows. We got her a pretty decent electric kit for her birthday and she practices a lot. And uses acoustic kit at school.
So because of the the electric capabilities I can record her drumming on garage band. This has really lit a fire in her belly during lockdown and now she is interested in making distorted sounds with my bass and loads of effects.
She is now interested in learning bass, and I think she would do well going by her ability to pick up drums so quickly.
Problem is, she is a wee un. Only 120 cm tall, she would (by my maths) only manage a half size bass.
Now from my limited experience mucking about on 1/2 size basses, they are not very good. Am I right or wrong? I am interested to get some guidance on what makes etc may be budget friendly and good. What are the pitfalls of some 1/2 size basses.
Any help would be appreciated and hopefully, when we taste sweet freedom again, we can make a purchase.
Cheers

I'm looking to sell my Rivoli to buy a knockaround PJ for modding... way early/pre=emptive question but for shipping, how would you feel about removing the neck and chucking it in a box over sourcing a proper box and that?
No problem with that. Buyers risk obviously.

29/7 - sold pending payment.
Massive BUMP!
Update July 2020 - Really got to look at moving this so I can get a P (51 or normal) without the Jazz pick up. I was looking at making some modifications but think selling it would be more economical.
Happy for people to come and try.
For sale my lovely Squier Precision P/J bass.
I purchased this off a top fella in the North East in the summer of 2017 as a bass to help me get back playing (after years of packing it in). I have since got my hands on an Epiphone Jack Casaday and I love it (and now wanting a new P bass or similar). Therefore I want to let this one go to a new home.
The P bass is a lovely tone for the price, as expected with Squier gear. The neck is what really did it for me, the slimmer Jazz profile and satin finish are a lovely touch and the P/J PUP configuration makes it and extremely versatile little beast. It’s got a few scuffs (belt rash etc) as per usage but no significant chips or dents etc.
It has served me well and is a straight up really reliable bit of wood. This bass would suit a beginner (or somebody coming back to the fold), it would be a reliable back up bass or it could be a budget friendly workhorse for some righteous cats. Either way it's a great bass for a great price.
Happy to field any questions, allow for demos and send more photos etc if anybody wants to know more.
I would prefer collection from North Yorkshire but can post if buyer arranges etc.
However, please note I don't think I have got a box at the moment so would need to source this and therefore may be a delay to any postage. I now have a box if buyer arranges collection! For all the weight watchers, it is around 5kg, but I don't have scales. And no, I won't hand deliver on the back of a unicorn. Not for that price anyway!
Thanks for looking.
