Bought a pedal from Pete. Good communication, quick and well packed postage

Ah, that's a shame, I'm after the brass ones.

Hi Lefty, is this with the brass (0994408000) or zinc (0994407000) saddles?
Thanks, Andy

Depending on how much you love your guitarist you have next year's Christmas present sorted.
Ha! It was well intentioned on his part. A bit of research online suggests I need to encourage him to buy and subsequently donate a Cali 76

Cheers, interesting to hear. It was a freebie so nothing lost if I don't use it

Hi Folks, I've just been gifted a Boss CS3 compressor pedal by our guitarist.
Can anyone suggest knob settings? It's my first and only pedal so I don't have a clue.
Setup is Precision with flats into a Tonehammer 500, playing country rock.
Thanks, Andy

Arrival: Mozart - Requiem
Reflection: John Cage - 4'33"

I'd get a Boss BC-1X Bass Comp and a Boss BB-1X Bass Driver — which are coincidentally the latest additions to my pedalboard.
This, but without the driver.
The rest can go on calming measures for me and the drummer

Thanks for that

Thanks, I'll have a look.

Thanks, I'll take a look

Hi, does anyone know of a piece of (ideally free) software that would allow me to enter a chord name and have the notes appear on a sheet-music style scale?
Hope this makes sense and isn't too obvious: I had a quick look on Google but didn't find what I was looking for.
Thanks, Andy
PS mods if you feel this should have been posted elsewhere apologies and feel free to move it

At the risk of offending, does anyone know of a keyboard that does a decent enough pedal steel sound?

Controversially, my first name is Paul and my surname begins with S.
I know, a real man of mystery.
That'll never catch on

Try it with rounds first before diving straight into flats - I love the sound of mine with rounds.
I didn't get on with rounds on mine at all. The world would be a less interesting place if we were all the same though

It's early days with mine, I've had it only a couple of weeks. I didn't like the sound much with the supplied roundwound strings, but with flats on it I'm much happier.
I've found a couple of tones that I like, and the rest of the band have given it the thumbs up.
Plus in Pelham Blue it looks fantastic
ETA I'm a big lump so the size isn't a problem

I always thought it was Ronnie Wood 🤦
RHCP - I've always heard it as "ooh ahh, kiss you in the moocha" 😆
Knowing Kiedis' history it sounded plausible!
I'm pretty sure if you listen carefully you'll hear that it's "ooh, ah, kiss you in the military".
Although to make it fit he has to sing it as mil'tree.

I used to have a gold one and really liked it, sounded really great with flats. I can't see for sure from the pic, but it looks like you have flats on yours too?
Yep, nice set of old flats on it now, though it was supplied with rounds

Very nice! I really love it in pelham blue and am gassing after a hollow body at the mo, this doesn't help!
If I mentioned that it's 3.6kgs?
There seems to be a long wait on Pelham Blue

I've always wanted to come on to this but have been voted down on the flimsy excuse of it being a stupid idea
