Thanks everyone. If it makes a difference I don't think I've ever played it with just the jazz pickup only (other than the day I got it). The P pickup is generally 75-100% of what I use it for (country rock) with just a bit of J added in

Thanks, I'd hoped to keep it all Fender if possible (I wondered about the Vintage Noiseless as an alternative). I'll take a look at the alternatives.

I was thinking of the 60s Custom Shop Jazz and 62 Custom Shop Precision. I'm after a nice vintage tone

Does anyone know of anywhere in the UK that sells Fender Custom Shop 60s Jazz pickups as single items rather than in pairs? It's for a PJ bass so I need only the bridge pickup.

There are a couple of places in the US via Ebay but I'd prefer somewhere more local and to avoid import duty hassles if possible

I sold my Squier Vintage Modified Jaguar to Mart. He was easy to deal with and paid promptly. A very easy transaction all round.

I thought I might as well email them and ask rather than just have an order cancelled on me. They've not responded to me, but have put it back to £495. Nice.

I see where you're coming from but it would go nicely with my EBS head and I do like the Classic look. 4 ohms would help to shut up our guitarist as well

That sounds more the sort of price I'd expect. Hmm, I wonder if they'd honour the price or be suddenly out of stock. At least it looks like it's not a scam

They have the packaged weight down as 38kg I think, so at worst it would come with LOADS of bubble wrap

Maybe I'm overthinking it, it just seems such a bargain price compared to every other seller which makes me cautious. It's a 212 cheaper than anyone else is selling a 112
