      I only use flatwounds but always buy the lightest guage available of any set I use. I prefer the feel and the tone of lighter strings as you don't need to put in as much energy to get them moving.

      Yeah, when I used flats it was always TI's that I would use, less strain on the hands and I do think that tonally a less stuff string has a clearer tone, these are a bit lower tension than TI's but they feel about the same in terms of flexibility. 

       

      I tried Labella 760fl once which is meant to be there light gauge and I took them off on the same day because they were just too stiff
