  1. Hi Guys

I'm selling off some gear I no longer need. This was my first Class D head and was used on a few gigs until I replaced it with a TC RH450 and it became a spare which has not seen the light of day since.

It always worked well, I ran my sansamp PBDDI into the front end.

[s]I can't remember how much I paid new but £100 (including postage within the UK for this seems about right. Sorry no power lead.[/s] SOLD

    Thanks for looking

  3. The zoom r16 looks like a good option as does the zoom H2n.

The only think I like about the idea of a mixer over other options is that we have a permanent room so once we have all channels set up and a mix we like, recording each session will be relatively simple because mics etc won't be moved around once in their positions.

The zoom r16 seems to offer this ability with the interface built in, albeit as you say with less channels.

The less messing I have to do on a laptop the better because I haven't spent enough time with the DAW I've chosen (reaper) to be fluent in it's operation, yet.

  4. I do like the idea of having multiple tracks via the mixer or interface unit because of the control it will give us but The zoom q8 or equivalent sounds like a good option to consider for simple demoing.

  5. Thank you so far! you're right about the guitars, I wasn't thinking straight. It's for demoing rather than commercial release. What do people think about the behringer XENYX XL2400 desks and has anyone used the Tascam us-16x08 interface?

  6. I want to start recording all of our rehearsals. We're looking at micing up the drum kit and running DIs for the guitars & bass plus vocals.

I'm looking at getting a 16 or 24 channel mixer, do I then need a 16 or 24 channel interface to run the signals to the laptop? Or is there cleaner way to do it?

    Any help would be appreciated

    Thank you

  7. That's good information thank you. At this stage, I already own the MEI 100 and I'm slowly bringing the rest of the band round to the idea of IEMs because the monitor at the venues we play at is shockingly bad most of the time. Our singer needs it most and to help her I suggested she and I could share the same mix. Due to restricted funds I looked at buying second receiver but for a similar price we can get a second hand system. Then we could choose whether she is happy with the same mix as me or would prefer her own. Nice to have options.

  8. I'm playing through an Ampeg SVT6 Pro which I've had for about 7 years now. Recently, I've noticed that I need to turn the master volume up a lot louder to get the same volume out of the amp. The amp is a hybrid with 4no 12AX7 and 2no 12AU7 valves in it. Could these be the root of the problem, are they likely to be worn and thus reducing the output?

Any advice will be appreciated, thank you.
