  1. Thank you., I didn't know you could trial Helix Native. I have a simple recording set up at home so I'll give that a blast.
  2. If I wanted to emulate an Ampeg SVT classic, is the Helix Stomp a good place to start / check out? I’d like to replicate the tone I got in the studio as much as I can and when I was there I ran a B3k into the SVT classic on one channel and blended it with a compressed DI signal with a low pass. I know I won’t get all the way there but it’d be nice to get close. I’m currently using the darkglass B3k into the Aguilar agro for my drive tone, blended with a compressed clean signal and while I’m getting a good tone, I’m not quite there. any advice on the helix stomp in terms of the amp sims would be appreciated.
  3. Does anyone know if it's possible to repair a dunlop 105Q mini bass wah? Mine has stopped working, the effect no longer works and sound does not pass through it when not in use. Perhaps it's a power supply issue on the pedal itself? I've checked inside and I don't see any damage to the PCB. I'm hoping it's possible to repair before I have to shell out for a new one. Any help or advice is appreciated Paddy
  4. I'm selling my B7K, it was used on my pedalboard for a very short time then moved back in it's box. I prefer the sound of my B3K with either the sansamp para driver or bass driver. There is some residue from the tape I used to hold the settings in place, and some Velcro on the bottom. Other than that, it's clean without any marks that I can see. It works perfectly (tested last night). Comes with original box. I'm based in Manchester so you can collect or I can post. Postage will be an additional £5 Paddy
  5. thanks for the contact details and suggestions! I'll grab some HB's too
  6. So here's a strange one. My Ampeg svt6pro has started clipping and creating an intermittent popping sound. I checked through my whole pedal board to see if the issue was there and couldn't fine any problems. Even when all cables except the power lead are connected, the clipping light flashes intermittently. It turns out, this only happens whilst my drummer is drumming....I know this sounds odd. Does anyone have any ideas, do you think there's a lose connection which is possibly vibrating? Might be time for a service so does anyone know a good amp tech in the manchester area? Any thoughts??
  7. I have a tech 21 sansamp RBI for sale. I bought it 2-3 years ago and it has lived in a rack case the whole time. Great bit of kit but all effects are now on a pedal board and this is surplus to requirements. UK postage included, comes with original box. Paddy
  8. Bump for a great fuzz. This needs to go so sensible offers will be considered.
  9. I have a Wren and Cuff Elephant Skin fuzz for sale (Reduced to £150 incl. postage). I bought it whilst on a trip to Chicago and while it sounded amazing in the shop, I haven't found a use for it in my band so rather than leaving it on a shelf I'd prefer to free up some cash. It didn't make it onto my pedalboard so is in the same condition it was when I bought it.....(no original box) Based on a Tall Font Russian with an additional switchable gain stage. I'm based near Manchester if you want to collect, otherwise i'll box it up and post it. Postage within Europe is included. Paddy
  10. I preferred the rack set up with the effects and amp together because it was easier and quicker to setup and pack up but I would have to sacrifice the switching between the two darkglass pedals....I'll need to decide in time if's its necessary live. For now, they stay on the floor board. Thank you for all the replies
  11. Yeah, the current set up is bass into a wireless to the board then single cable to the amp. The only reason it's all on the floor now instead of in the rack is because I need a wah out front and need to change between the B7K and the VMT during a song....neither of which I needed to do before. I use the Line selector to switch between the darkglass pedals without having to press two pedals at once.....I haven't noticed any tone difference using them in individul loops. It's a tidy setup, I'd just prefer it everything was back in the rack. Like I said before, I may be overthinking it and how I currently have it, may be the best option.
  12. I like to have my effects in a rack so they don't get damaged on the floor. But since recording our recent EP, I now need a wah pedal and the ability to change channels during songs so I've moved all my effects back onto my pedaltrain so I don't have to run multiple cables from my rack out to a small pedal board and back again BUT i would still prefer to be able to keep everything in a rack and only have the minimum out front. My options are: put everything back in the rack and run a cable out to the front of stage which would go into my wah then into a Boss Line selector (which would have 4 cables between the floor and the rack for the 2 loops and then one cable from the output of the line selector into the rack - a total of 6 cables which is ridiculous. So, is there a cleaner option. I've looked briefly into programmable effects controllers and these look great but if all the effects are in a rack how do I do it without multiple cables running across stage. I would like to keep the floor clear of cables, we don't stand still on stage so don't need trip hazards. I may be overthinking it but seem to be going in circles Any advice will be welcomed. Thank you Paddy
