  1. my advice would be to try the berg 12 at bass direct, if you are really intrested then you have to try em out first as they are so different to your db's.....but sjonnies idea of getting one and then using the db212 when its called for is spot on, i cant see any advantage in having 2 unless you really prefer the sound...

  2. hey guys, just had funkymunky over to A/B this cab with his AE410....both sounded amazing, the ae was a bit more present and aggressive, hs sounded a bit more old school, whilst still sounding like a modern 410...it was great to catch up with steve and I was really impressed with how good these berg cabs are.......
    cheers geoff
oh also discovered the castors pop in and out... :-)

  3. i never met him but was doing some of the same gigs in leeds for a while, we did a few deps for each other and he seemed like a good guy, always heard good things about his playing.........

  4. i think that there are some gigs that a 1 12 will do, jazz jam sessions, gigs without drummers, quiet rehearsals etc.. but if u would be using 2 then i would just use your db212....of course if you just want one then that makes sense but if you use 2 together then the benifit of size is kinda equaled out by your 212 being on wheels (unless there are serious stairs and you are on your own).....i used to own a gs112 and i really didnt use alone on anything other than jazz gigs......
saying that im replacing my hs410 with 2 EA wizzys. Im getting a normal one imported to add to my mline 12 which i use for upright. by using 2 with my db750 i can get the tone i want but if i played electric only i would stick with the hs410 and buy a small cheap 112 cab for suitable small gigs/practice....

Good luck....hope aggies are going well, i bet they sound amazing! :-)

  5. i heard so many problems with guys having to replace driver, fill holes in badly made cabs etc....i was all set to buy 2x 115L but i went for something else in the end....
Ive never heard of any other cab maker in that price bracket who have had as many problems, compare them to EA or Accugroove which ive never heard of problems on that scale.
shame as im sure one of the big companys who are yet to properly address weight issues (ampeg, aguilar, eden etc..) will come along and start producing similar product and clean up....

  6. hey guys, its been a while since the accident and i thought i should give you an update, its good news!
In Jan the gallery used epoxy resin to 'glue' the neck, they did a great job, but it wasnt perfect, it was a very thin neck to repair....I also fell in love with a sadowsky they had on sale ;-)
so i ended up replacing the fingerboard with a fretless ebony lined board....
the guys at the gallery did an amzaing job, the bass sounds better than ever and it was all done for a really good price..........I think they do a great job in both sales and repairs and ive always found them a pleasure to deal with....they even managed not to make any comments on how i snapped the headstock off such a great bass!
wicked job, great outcome from a very bad situation........
