Get the band to stand in a line and say "all band members take one step forward. Hey (name of member you want to fire), where do you think you're going?"
Hands up who likes.........

Hello again groovers,
Please excuse the delay in getting the pictures up.
This is no longer a "feeler" post but a definite "for sale" now but I'm changing the price to £1500.
I know this looks like bad form but I feel the initial £1350 was very hasty on my part, considering what an animal of a bass it is, it's lovely condition and the trends in USA prices these days. On top of this, I've had so many offers above the "feeler" price that I'd be a numpty to honour my initial "feeler" price. I hope you all understand.
Anyway, here they are.
Gorgeous Stingray.
Makes my hairs stand up every time I play it but I'm playing less and less bass these days and am hooked on electric and acoustic six string.
I'm thinking about busking in my 60's.
The only marks on it are so hard to photograph. There's a tiny dent below the g string mute, and an even tinier one on the headstock but I can't find it now.
The pickguard has some wear from me but there's hardly any swirling ty[ical on a black poly body.
Birdseye maple neck which glows.
Serial number on the bridge.
Mutes.
4.36kg which equates to 9.6 lbs.
Truss rod works perfectly.
These basses need no introduction.
Absolute animal tone.
Needs to be gigged and NEVER has been.
Absolutely welcome over at the Chewie residence but I've got a little Roland CUBE here so bring a worthy amp if you're coming.
I've got a Gert big garage.
Kind regards to you all.

Beautiful Strat for sale.
All original. 3 way selector. Cloth wires. Beautiful nitro finish.
Loads of character and checking.
Nice dark fretboard. Beautiful, clean neck.
I changed the pickguard for a "Charles Guitars" mint green one. Original one included obviously.
There is the customary guitar stand reaction on the back. Even this just adds to its mojo and originality IMO.
This is a gorgeous looking and sounding guitar. Way nicer than a custom shop in my opinion. Much cheaper too. More collectible too, for that matter. Original case with most of the candy. I also have the original bridge cover and tremolo arm. Case is good. Everything works.
More than welcome to come and play it. I have a Roland here or bring your own amp.
Price £1,750
I would also consider a gold top Les Paul in trade. Humbuckers not P90s.
Located in Swindon, Wiltshire.
Thank you for looking.- 6

It might affect the price I’d be prepared to pay, but the unsightly initialling wouldn’t stop me buying.
In my experience, there’s a reason basses have this much wear on them, which usually becomes apparent when you pick them up.
I have just acquired, in the last week, one of these neck dated January 1983, also very well used, maybe not so used-up looking.
There is something different about these. So easy to play - instant extra capabilities. I hadn’t ever tried one before. I am already certain that it won’t be going anywhere.Heys you’ve got to post some pictures now, Guy………

Yeah. I bought a bass that a ding in the neck, a ‘Ray5. Using the wet cloth and soldering iron technique, it lifted right out. I have since used it on another dinged neck and some furniture that was dinged during a move. The results can vary, but it’s always better than it was.
Mate, that is top info, thank you…… I’m gonna look into it……

Wow........! Ok...... learning all the time...........
Have you had experience with that?

It's great to hear everybody's take on it.
For me, if that didn't have his initials scratched into it, I would've been thinking about going to view it.
If it had been on the back, it wouldn't've bothered me half as much.
How shallow is that?
Deep enough to know I'm shallow.
Nowt queerer than folk, as my dad would say.
Merry Xmas everyone.

A black Stingray popped up on a local FB marketplace recently at a very good price and I quickly sent an interested message. And then I had a close look at the pictures. It was a wreck. It looked like it had been repeatedly banged on the ground or used for cricket practice. I suspect some young punk loving kid with no sense. I got a couple of replies from him over the next 3 days offering lower prices and then told him no thanks it’s too badly damaged. It remained on sale for several weeks.
Wow........ I wish I'd seen that.
You know what, I love looking on Facebook Marketplace.
Somebody was selling a coffin the other week.
Cracked me up.........!!!

Considering the overall state of it, I don't think it would worry me.

Why not..? It's due for a 'refin' anyway.
For me, the original finish is where it's at...........
You don't see many Olympic white Fullerton reissues........ well, I haven't.

Back after a "misunderstanding" with a fellow bass chatter.
Really nice condition. Can barely find a mark on it. A couple of really tiny dents and some tarnishing of the hardware and that is it.
Weighs 4.36 kgs...... which is 9.6 pounds.... on the digital kitchen scales.
This bass needs no introduction. It's a beast. The only bass you might need, they say.
Made in July 2018; according to the serial number.
It's got a lovely dark neck.
The pre amp is an animal. Trouser flapping stuff.........
Brand new D'Addario 130 - 45's on it.
Comes with it's very plush Yamaha Gig Bag.Balances beautifully. From 45 degrees to 90 degrees, no problem.
This was the previous owners backup bass.
I don't think it's hardly been used.
Price is £495.
I'd consider a trade with an Epiphone Les Paul Custom
Thanks for looking.
Collection preferred but could also post within the UK.- 6

He is having a laugh, £75 sounds very reasonable as long as it covers what you need it to. The bass I picked up was a lot more expensive but I couldn’t get a quote even close to £100, from memory I think about £130 was the cheapest.
I thought it was reasonable…..
-
You know what, this is the closest you’ll get to a pre CBS Strat.
Apart from a Fullerton reissue.
They're 3 times the price of this one.

Thanks T-Bay,
Yeah, my quote was for £75 fully insured for a £500 bass.
Matey thinks it should be half that.
