Heya I just thought you might be interested in my report on the Classic Stingray I played today, uninformed as it might be... I liked it. I especially liked the feel of it in my hands, not as thin as my 50's style P but the width of the fretboard and lacqured neck worked nicely for me. The tone was great, as you know the 2 eq pots don't have a middle ground flat lock so it's a bit of a feel it out thing. I wasn't sure I was getting where I wanted with that. I guess one would get used to it. But I have to say that my personal preference leaned towards preferring the sound of my Sterling that I am selling. I want that sound but with the feel of the chunkier Stingray.... If you have any ideas... The search continues..... Thanks again for you help!

Thanks Andrey, I agree that they don't look great. Its just aesthetic though, the bass sounds killer and at the end of the day they are at the back. I make this price drop knowing that the shop I'm going to today will give me less and charge the purchaser more, so here's a window to get a great sounding bass for a low price -
Thanks again!

Hello SOLD! [s]£550 then people![/s] [s]Dropping to £600. Hit me up, make me an offer (no trades please) [/s]for a great deal on this killer sounding and great feeling USA Musicman Sterling! [s]£700 or reasonable near offer[/s] Here is a Musicman Streling USA that I have inherited from a trade with a friend. The friend in question really likes the bass she got from me but I have not fallen for hers simply because it's "fast" jazz type neck is not my thing. I am a big chunky Fender P 50's style-neck type-man. Unfortunately for me I LOVE this Musicman sound so much I'm gonna have to get me a chunky neck Stingray! So here it goes for sale. I am afraid I don't know the year but the code at the back reads F05789 if that helps people who know how to search with that? Quite a few scuffs on the body, and 2 on the upper edge of fretboard. Also, not sure why but there's 4 drilled holes in the back. Someone suggested to me it might have been for midi interaction use. (All of these are photographed) Sounds phat though, no doubts about that. Pictures here : https://flic.kr/s/aHskPXEf3f Thanks! Dave

Thanks guys, really useful stuff there! The maple neck does sound attractive as that's what i have on my P and really like the way it feels. The research continues!

Thanks guys! @paulgibsonbass you dig it? Does, in your opinion, the Poplar body do anything to the sound that is not quite up there with the rest?

Hello there guys Maybe you can help. I am Interested in that Musicman sound. I have done a swap with a friend of mine which has found me inheriting a original USA Sterling. I love the sound. But my chunky hands & fingers do not get on with the neck and space in between the strings. The bass I learned to play on and my main bass is a Fender Precision 50's style. So with that intro done. I tried a Musicman Stingray SR4 in a PMT shop and I liked it. But I am curious about why all the other Stingrays are +500/600/800 etc pounds more that this. Anyone know? What's with SR4?

Thanks Martin! Glad you enjoyed. Yes I like that track too! Thanks again for your comments

Mint condition, been kept from new in a safe studio smoke free environment and was recently serviced by the guys at Thermionic Culture themselves. Collection suggested but will post at buyers cost. For sale my ampeg portaflex 500. This was my first amp ever believe it or not, belonged to a friend of mine who sold it me for what I'm selling to you. Its been out on a gig 2wice in 3 years although John probably gigged it a bit. It sounds killer, I don't want to sell it but I have to. Too heavy for me and I have another amp that is small and portable I use all the time. This thing is basically wasted on me sitting in my studio to occasionally get di'd on to recordings. There's a few light scratches and two little scuffs on the body that I've photographed. Not interested in trades thank you kibdly

Pretty much flawless physical & completely working condition. Comes with original Box and power adaptor. Video speaks for it's self I think but Electro Harmonix says this: "The Ring Thing presents state of the art modulation control allowing the user to explore a new sonic world that is both familiar and inventive. Complex modulations with interactive parameters create any sound your mind can imagine. From metallic sweeps to subtle color changes to unique and limitless modulations, the Ring Thing will become your sonic dream machine. Articulate pitch shifting, preset tuning, selectable waveforms and external control delivers sound designer mystery, with a Rock and Roll edge"

Hello guys, I figured you might be interested in checking out some of my productions. I would be interested in your opinions. Here's the soundcloud : https://soundcloud.com/ddr and here's my bandcamp : https://davederosemusic.bandcamp.com/ I started playing electric bass on a few tunes 2 records ago but the last one "Drifting particles of one" features my '50 fender Precision exclusively. Played the guitar parts with it too. In fact I played absolutely everything on that album. Was fun!
