Would it be possible it's not an actual magazine but ... a scam?
I'm not sure, but there's a lot of things that seem a bit off about it. Both the covers of the first two 'issues' are filled with the most cliche bass-related titles in the universe. There's no trace of any real contact information, an editor or even a printing house. Who in their right mind would invest in founding a new bass magazine these days, without any online content?
On the other hand: imagine maybe a couple of hundred people interested enough to pay for a first issue. That's an easy way to earn a fair sum, without offending anyone enough to even consider taking legal action.
It would be an impressive but surprisingly easy scam when you put it like this.
What’s weird is there’s no contact details or business info on the site. Most magazine journalists (like me) have sources they work with, so seems weird they wouldn’t want the profile.
Can any subscriber access the digital version?

Ever wanted to display 8 basses in a beautiful rack? Nows the chance you’ve been waiting for!
This is one of two Tourtech racks that I own. (Don’t ask).
It’s in excellent shape and functions perfectly. One part of the furry covering is loose but I’ll stick that down. There’s one mark on the back (pictured) and a little mark on the furry top bit the size of a thumbnail. Almost imperceptible to the naked eye but if I can see it then so can you.
I have the original box in the loft and can send it. Postage included in the price of £75 or collect from Bristol for £60.

I don’t care. It’s a guitar and, over time, will get damaged. If it’s a damaged component or something that materially affects the operation then that’s a different matter, but the odd mark here and there means nothing.

They weren't all that, yet here we are 54 years after their official demise talking about them like we do for no other band.
It’s indicative of a country who is happier looking back rather than looking forward. Has always been the same here. The cultural shadow of the 60s is a confection, with as much junk as jewels.- 2

Nothing happens unless Frank says so.
Imagine being the man who gave Captain Beefheart and Frank Zappa complete artistic freedom to create some of the craziest music, free from the pressure of record sales targets! -

It's also worth considering the impedance of any wireless transmitter if you're plugging directly into a piezo pickup.
Bob Gollihur has some useful information on his website:

Yeah I get that; but I’m only using a Magnetic pickup now. I did worry about level issues. -

In a market economy, we must conclude that that’s the price at which the demand for Marcus Miller matches the supply of Marcus Miller.
I’d say that would be fair pricing for a lengthy session, free album and afternoon masterclass but it would sting me to pay that for 75 minutes. The world needs more Robert Smiths.

Expert advice from a cross section of experienced musicians in an hour…
Love it!
I’m gigging next weekend and that will pay for the witless set up. Can you link me to the one that you use Jack?
Im familiar with the Boss one but not wedded to it if there’s a better alternative.

I hate the wires on my DB and a few times I’ve nearly pulled the pickup out because it’s been on there.
Has anyone tried a wireless transmitter setup?
I’d have no issue using one with electric bass but just interested whether some of the subtleties of DB could get lost. This is loud, amplified blues stuff through a magnesia pickup, so hardly demands finesse (but even so).
Be interested to ask you learned men and women on here of your experiences, thoughts and expertise.

Well, Wings didn't contribute anything to the progress of music (and they were shit). The Beatles did have some influence on their peers and successors, however you rate their own music. Some of their influence was negative, though, such as people thinking that the wretched Hofner violin bass was not only playable but even good. Poxy things.
One of the most transformative and influential musicians in the last 50 years was Frank Sinatra whose Reprise label gave every artist total freedom to record what they liked.- 1

I’m sorry …# heresyalert I just don’t think the Beatles were all that and all the descendant band were a bit meh…I’m not saying they were not musically talented, just more the sum of the parts than the whole
order your tar and feathers now
Music is not a competition! The idea we have to rank and judge art comparatively is utter nonsense. To give it a classical parallel, Bach is still the granddaddy of piano music yet people keep playing and creating.

Just a weird mish mash of style with no coherence to me. Why the pick-up cover but not a bridge one? Why the modern hi mass bridge but 60s rest? Why the lollipop tuners? Weird.

I’ve not really given it much thought. Pretty close to Dad’s set up really (except I use an EBS 360). Sometimes use a TE Elf. Always sounds good (to me).

Provisionally sold to the man with the biggest collection of HB basses this side of the Rhine.

Here is my spare bass, a Harley Benton Harley Benton JB-62CC jazz bass in link with the matching headstock.
It has a pencil thin neck, plays wonderfully, looks great and is light. Why am I selling? I only use my Fender and I simply don’t need it. I recently picked up a Japanese Squier Precision which is my spare now.
There are a few blush marks on it but no scratches, dents or damage. I’d hesitate to say new as I’ve gigged it once but it’s excellent.
This comes with no case and I would prefer pickup. No offers.
Why no strings? I have a nearly new set of rounds that are going on today.

I have a very odd Jackson-style Randy Rhodes guitar.
Firstly, this isn’t a Jackson. It’s a Chinese clone. It worked before I put it away but I haven’t tested it as it has bad memories for me.
There’s a story with the guitar. I arranged to buy a Jackson guitar I’d seen on FB for my kids for a bit of fun, and I had my brother collect this. Turns out it’s not a Jackson guitar and the guitar (and fitted hard case) stank of fags.
You can still see some remnants of the fake Jackson logo I removed.
I’ve deep cleaned the guitar and it’s cool now but the case stinks. Lesson learned, etc.
I did speak to the seller later but I just received abuse and life is too short.£50 delivered without the case. £60 with the case (but trust me, it stinks)
Anyone have the Gruvgear Kapsule Duo?
