  1. For sale is my well loved, well gigged TC Electronic BG250 Combo Bass Amp. This amp saw me through many years of gigs at pubs and small venues such as The Wedgewood Rooms and The Edge of the Wedge alike - and it admittedly shows. Alas, it never let me down, and is still a fully functional, powerhouse of an amp. The reason for sale is that I am trying to downsize as I don't have the space - or power requirement for this bad boy anymore. It has fantastic tonal control, even through a simple three-band EQ and delivers 250W of smooth bass tone through the 2x10" speakers alongside a small tweeter. It has a built-in tuner with mute functionality; as well as line in and phones out ports for rehearsing with the band, or practicing alone. Finally, a balanced direct output will allow you to plug into any venue's soundsystem - meaning you're ready to tackle that all-inportant gig of yours, whether in the local or at the O2. The Toneprint controls are great fun to mess about with and allow you to load bass effects to each A or B track onto the amp from your phone via the bass' pick-up - its practically magic, as far as I'm concerned! Each effect can be controlled by a footswitch, which I don't have, but only sell for ~£40 new. Price: £180 ovno Swaps: • Ampeg Micro CL Stack (and cash your way). • Mark Bass CMD JB Player School (and cash your way). I have tried to highlight the worst of the nicks and scratches, but this is an amp that has travelled and gigged, as is sold as such. Any questions, feel free to reach out!
  2. If my car hadn't just needed rear brakes and tyres doing, I'd have scooped this up 😭 GLWTS
  3. Fellow bassists, For sale is my 2016 Sandberg California TM4 in red burst that I imaginatively named Sandy. I absolutely adore this bass and she's been a reliable powerhouse, but my music quest is taking me down a passive Fender Jazz Bass avenue, (I'm thinking either the Flea sig or an American Original '60s). Clocking in at 5.01kg (11.04lbs) she's a bit on the heavy side but boasts the following spec: • Maple neck • 22 fret rosewood fingerboard with side fret markers • 0 fret • Ash body in matte red burst • Delano pick ups wired to an active two band EQ pre-amp with bass and treble boost and cut, pickup selector and active passive push/pull knob and humbucker coil tap I recently upgraded the jack shield from the plastic one to a new metal one since the plastic was wearing out, and replaced the tuning machines since the ear of one fell out during a gig (making tuning between songs very difficult)! I replaced the 9v battery just days ago as well so she's ready to rock! She will be sold in her original soft case which was in a bad state when I bought the bass a few years back but I have recently patched up as best I can. On that note I have tried to document as much wear on the instrument as possible too. As I previously mentioned she is heavy, but I gigged her loads using a wide set padded leather Levys strap with no real issue; this will be included with the sale of the bass. I appreciate Portsmouth is out of the way so I am happy to meet within reason; but other than that please peruse at your leisure and feel free to PM with questions and offers. Thanks!

  4. As above, it's a Crafted In Japan yeah! I've watched a few YouTube videos on similar era '62 reissues and the sound is lovely - I'll probably make the pilgrimage but thought I'd double check here first
  5. I'm interested in buying a 1999-2002 CIJ 62 reissue Jazz bass and have found one for sale that is a two and a half hour drive away from me. Does anyone located in/near Portsmouth have one thay they wouldn't mind me having a little noddle on before I commit to driving a five hour round trip for a bass that I might not get on with! (Side note, lovely 2016 Sandberg California T in red burst for sale soon come)! Thanks in advance!
