Oh, yes I meant bars, not rods, sorry. Thanks for your answer, I see that some skyline models have these bars like 55-01's etc. but not the decades.

Back in the '70's, one of the bands I worked with had just started a 3 month tour of the USAF bases in Spain. My Wallace amp - which was considered the Rolls Royce of amps back then - blew up spectacularly on the second night and there was no spare amp to use.
I f it was f****d then you could have called him Marsellus.
Good thing that now a backup amp can be as light and small as a car radio.

Yes. My GF offered me a ticket for my 40's and I had a good time, even if Gillan can't go in the upper reg anymore.

Hi, does the neck have carbon rods on these ones?
-
Yep, that is irritating. Otherwise I just can't see any pic following the links on the former post you linked.

I agree with that, I'm using SR's for 15years, the one I have is something like the tenth, and especially with a maple board G tends to sound thin (I know how to EQ too, not all the way up). On some of my ex-basses this tendency was too much pronunced, really a fishing string. The one I have now is amongst the best I had, and the G is just a little weaker than the rest (if PU raised towards it). I can tell that by the led of my comp, and get the strings more balanced with it too.

Bargain indeed. Ships to anywhere?

Bargain!

All mine too, I have had a lot of them, but nevertheless my advice would be a rw neck with 3EQ and at least not an ash body with a maple board, that I find now lacking meat, especially on the treble side.
I had once a sterling that was really very good, but I prefer the wider neck of the SR.

Nice. Does it have an ebony fretboard?

OK I did not get it.

Can't see any pics, sorry.

Are you sure? In the Bartolinis there are blades, not pole pièces, I believe.

To give up, of course, and I misused exaggerate (can mean going too far in french), sorry, thanks for the explanation.

Yes, the Woman Acceptance Factor is quite good, my woman let down about my GAS, but I'm not exagerating (in fact I was answering to the Greek's post).
En français ça donne, "le WAF est bon, ma femme a laissé tomber à propos de mon GAS mais je n'exagère pas non plus" -
I think I saw a Reddi for sale here.
-
Thanks for welcoming.
Yep the WAF is quite good (she has let down). But I'm not exagerating. -

What strikes me most is how much weight has become an issue nowadays. Back in the 70s and 80s I really don't remember anybody commenting (let alone whinging) about the weight of basses.
.But then, men were men in those days!

They were soooo high too -
Much more collectable than a vulgar MM. Almost a gift.

Finally remembered to weight my heaviest basses:
Warwick corvette - 14.1lbs
Aria Pro II SB Elite - 14lbs
Fender Steve Harris - 13.9lbs
Harley Benton PJ 5 String - 13.2lbs

Surprising! -
That means girls are stronger than men. I'm quite convinced about that.

I reported the fraud.
My eyes, my eyes! (Gibson crime).

I find them nice. Maybe I don't get it. ..Is the crime creating a balanced bass?
