Wow £179 is a steal given that the website has it at £259 I think. I would check but I can't seem to get to their website (again!).
Yeah great shop.
I paid £149 from the bassmerchant for my Tonehammer -
Martin Owen does that kinda thing (www.owenelectronics.co.uk IIRC), but as Kev says if your gonna sell it keep it original so you get more ££ for it
-
must've been lucky when i snagged one off here a few moths back for a sansamp paradriver + £50
Me too - and luckily I've got one. Great-sounding & lovely to play, weighs a ton though...

Aye its a heavy bugger but i like heavy basses I'm a big bloke and like the fact I have something substansial around my neck as apposed to a twig, my back probably won't like me much in the future for it though -
Sorry if this is obvious, but what's the sweatband for?
And I'm totally robbing your pickholder idea. I always forget mine D:
Lol it is for the obvious unfortunately and it also holds some loose picks inside while not being worn
Its a handy wee thing -
Here's my current basses
A 1982 (I think) Ibanez RS924 Roadster bass, plenty bumps and bashes but plays great and sounds amazing in passive mode, and the current BC bike in stingrayfan + a few others old G&L L2000 Tribute a realy versatile basss IMo and one thats gonna be staying put for a good while

here's the latest and smallest incarnation of my board, nowt fancy but it does what i need it to
Boss tu2 > Big Muff (modded to green sovtek specs) > cheap digi delay > Aguilar ToneHammer
Will probably change out the delay for a better one in the future but for now it does the trick for what i need it to
-
mine came today not had much time to play about with it but initial sounds are sweet Its one heavy mofo though
-
Yeah, same story as me. I was expecting it first week in November though
so was I -
mines is still on order from the bassmerchant, they got held up leaving the states so mine will hopefully arrive nxt wk sometime
Sex, of a frantic & dirty nature, that definitely gets a full 5 :brow: :brow: :brow: :brow: :brow:
Agreed RD artists are so cool wish I had the cash to buy it though -
Aye thats right I only sold it due to the colapse of ma band at the time. It sounded great through my old marshal head and when I had a cheeky shot of it a month or so back with my current pre/power setup no 'boom' as such just plenty good low end.

Trade now pending Etc etc
Would you be able to reinstall the tone control for the next owner?
Yeh sorry I forgot to add that into the post, If anyone who wants to buy the bass wants the Tone control put back in the I shall do so -
I'm in the mood to change a few things bass wise so have decided to put my '86 MIJ precision up for sale.
three tone sunburst, black scratchplate, maple fretboard, fitted with a Wizard thumper pickup with a single volume control (as I never used the tone control) and a Hipshot vintage bridge. Condition wise its got a few dings nothing major and is in pretty good condition for its age, frets are in good nick and the truss rod works 100%
Looking for £350 + postage for the bass for a straight sale or trade wise I'd considder G&L tributes, musicman SUBs (possibly) or a MIJ/CIJ Jazz or hit me with what you've got, I can only say no
the first few photo's are with the original bridge on and the last one is as it is now, I can throw in the old bridge if its wanted

I was speaking to Martin about this today and its not just another valve overdrive pedal (as it uses a different tube type as mentioned above all the others are 12ax7 designs?), it doubles up as a power supply as well and apparently can do anything from cleanish to better than big muff sounds to full on fuzzzzzzzzz, if I had the cash I'd give it a whirl as Martin's work is top notch, I've tried one of the gremlins and realy liked it and he's fixed up a few pedals fr me as well.
-
If I had the cash mate I'd have it back from you, have a bump for a great sounding cab for a silly price IMO
-
Sorry matey it got sold a few weeks back on ebay
