Cant beat tort or black scratch plate on a sunburst Fender IMO.
-
a lot of players will argue that the best P bass they ever heard was the same type as in jigsters avatar.

I saw one on gumtree last year for £80,that may have been the bargain of the century for some,if it had been the model with the P pickup i would have had it.I would have thought £150 -250 was more like it.

Try raising the action, and as already said,eq settings.I have EMG's in my P bass, clean and growly when played harder with heavier strings.

Nuff said.The end.
The lovely Sarah-Jane Honeywell from cbeebies plays bass. I once saw her play a bit on Tikkabilla.
I can't find a picture or YouTube clip, so this is a picture of her not playing bass!
Thanks, but you didnt answer my question.
Well............i know where the notes are,and what fits with what in a certain key,as do you and many others, but not everyone does.I dont read music but something like this when i started out would have been a great help. -
OK I'm genuinly curious as to the exact cirsumstance that people find things like this useful. I dont mean to target this specific page but I mean the whole chord/scale locator thing. For example if I needed to know where all the C major notes are I simply locate all the C notes and using my interval knowledge locate the 3rds and 5ths.
Good for you. -
No but they would rarely fill a couch
I think it would be better if there was a full fretboard notation on show at the same time though. -
