    Mine are still newish then at about 12 years old.I did swap them with a new set about 6 months ago,but put the proper ones back on about two days later.

    Well............i know where the notes are,and what fits with what in a certain key,as do you and many others,but not everyone does.I dont read music but something like this when i started out would have been a great help.
