1.
That really does look amazing. I'm really starting to favour solid colours over the exotic wood top these days. I'm also tiring of engineers/band members taking the piss out of 'coffee table' No accounting for taste I suppose. Also, how does this feel compared to the body of the Kronos. Looks a little sleeker/downsized. The Kronos looked sleek enough already. Jay.
Thanks! I like also solid colors on basses like that. Actually I haven't got the Alvistar yet from Italy. It takes a week or two before I can get my hands on it. I'll let you know as soon as I'll get the first impressions. But Chronos is really comfortable to play. Really the best bass I've played so far. Hope the Alvistar will be even better!
 2.
is that the actual bass you are buying? is has what look like scratches or marks near the nut thats all.
Yes, that's the one and only Alvistar I am going to have. But there are no scrathes as far as I know. It's just a photo I guess.
 3. Hey, guys! Thank you for your comments but hey, I really cannot comply everyone's expectations. We have certain laws I have to follow because the bass belongs to my company. If that sale ad seems to be not for you please don't waste your time on comments. Just find another bass and buy that one. I'll be completely happy if this bass stays in my collection. Just wanted to make somebody happy, sorry!
 4. Ok, I can sell this for 1450 EUR. No VAT. Including shipping. How does that sound? There are some limits on payment though. I'll give the details using PM.
 5. Let me talk to my bookkeeper to see if it is possible to lower the price. I'll let you know soon.
 6.
That bass looks superb.
Thanks!
 7.
If you can, id love to hear some sound clips of that (especially with the low when you get it matey, I bet its a tone monster!!
Yes, I will do it. As soon as I get my hands on the Alvistar. It's still in Italy and I hope to get it within a few weeks. I'll let you know.
 8.
Now THATS Funktastic! Loving the gold hardware
Thanks man, it sure is a FUNK-MACHINE! I wanted to mix the modern and classical design and gold fits just perfectly with the sonic blue finish and vintage pearl pickguard. It makes it look somehow royal!
 9.
I'm liking! I've not long bought a Fender P with a similar hue and really getting to like it!
Thanks! I looooove Sonic Blue!!!!!
 10.
please my man get a grip i sold it for £1100. dont be greddy us blokes dont like that. regards. mr funk.E.fingers
Sorry, but I cannot sell it cheaper than that. Otherwise I have to pay a lot of taxes and this makes it pointless. I don't mind if the bass stays in my collection although I'd be happy if this wonderful bass finds another home. BTW, it's really a wonderful bass! I've had 3 Sadowskys and non of them was not even close to that particular one.
 11.
Great looking bass! Is it a 34" scale neck?
Yes, it's 34".
 12.
Looks great, well done and, what a coincidence, Travis Perkins are just putting the finishing touches on my first signature bass.
Congratulations! Tell us the details/specs!
 13. Thank you all for your comments! I must say that there are different laws in different countries. There are some rules I have to follow if I'd like to sell a guitar that belongs to my company. One of them is the liability to add VAT if the buyer in EU doesn't have an EU VAT nr. Sorry for that! The original price for that bass was 2540 EUR (including VAT). PS! I have already a few possible buyers. I'll let you know when this one is sold or back on the market.
 14.
Nice bass but small ding? - hate to see a big ding..are you left handed?
Yeah, sorry, I got it with this ding. But it really is one of the best Sadowskies. I've tried more than 50 different high end instruments before I bought my basses. So you can be sure that everything I have in my collection is at least good if not the best choice available. PS! Nope, I am not a lefty! It's a mirror picture - for fun!
 15.
No offense intended, but why is there VAT on this? I think the idea behind this place is for private sellers only, therefore no VAT.
I am a private person. This bass belongs to my company so if I sell it I have to ask 18% VAT (as I payed when I bought it). Some private persons have also VAT nr. PS! My company doesn't sell musical instruments.
 16. One of my Sadowskys left the house, I decided to sell another too. It's MV5 - Sonic Blue (looks a bit greenish) light Ash body and Maple/Maple neck. It has a small ding just near the metal control plate but other than that it's in perfect condition. The back of the neck has been sanded with 0000 Steel Wool so it makes this bass extremely easy to play. No sticky lacker feel. I compared it to my friend's New York Sadowsky and mine was much better both for playability and sound wise. I was surprised but so it felt for both of us. I talked to my bookkeeper and found a way to sell it for 1450 EUR including shipping to UK!!! Please contact with me for details!
 17. There has been a few interested guys but still for sale! It's interesting - lots of interest from US and less from UK.
 18. I have at least one possible buyer. Let's see what's going to be happen with the sale!
 19. BTW, the text on the headstock is just a first design. I personally don't like it too much. So I think it's going to be a bit different. Any suggestions?
 20.
I had a look at the W&T website, Very nice basses indeed. Is that a W&T in your avatar? Look forward to hearing your clips.
Yes, that's another WT I have. It's the best bass I've played so far. And I had recently 15 high end basses in my collection - MTDs, Sadowskys, Nordstrands, Pedullas, Status etc. I played it also against 10-15 different Foderas in different countries and finally understood that my searchings for the ultimate bass are finished.
 21.
The lines of the scratch plate are a bit weak in relation to the pickups but apart from that, its a very distinctive looking bass. I think some sound clips would be very interesting when you finally recieve it!
Thanks for your opinion! I agree with you. In fact the original pickguard shape was design for the MM pickup at the bridge position. It took a few days for me to get used to it. But I think it looks better strapped on.
 22.
I think you're gonna have trouble playing it! Your avatar shows you as a lefty, that nice shinny new bass looks like a right winger to me. Very nice bass tho, I like the body shape.
Thanks for your comment! Actually I am not a lefty! This is a mirror picture, just for fun! Alvistar will be my third Woodandtronics and I must say that all of these basses are tremendously good! And I can say it after playing them against tens of 10K boutique basses. I hope to give you some sound samples soon.
 23. Hey! I just got ready my very first signature bass from www.wtbasses.net. It's super-funky! Still hasn't got it from Italy though but I hope to get it within a few weeks. Specs: Neck - 3 piece Flame Maple Neck Through Fingerboard - Macassar Ebony Body Wings - Light Ash Tuners - Gotoh Bridge - Hipshot A style Strap Locks - Schaller Pickups - Custom made by Christoph Dolph (Bassculture) Preamp - ACG filter based pre According to Enrico Passini - one of the builders behind The Alvistar - this bass is one of the best instruments they have ever made. In fact, he said that he doesn't have words to describe how good this bass is. Well, I hope he is right! So feel free to comment how do you like this new baby!
 24. The bass has also the original case but the Zipper is out of order. But it can be fixed.
