1. Lemon oil is predominantly limonene - this stuff: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Limonene - which is not acidic. This is also a primary ingedient in orange and lime oil (which does exist). The stuff that makes citrus fruit acidic is citric acid. You aren't likely to find appreciable amounts of this in lemon oil. >I've often wondered this about stomach acids...it can digest meat that you've eaten but not the stomach wall itself. Strange? The acid helps, but much of the digestion that happens in your stomach is due to a cocktail of protease enzymes that chop up proteins. Your stomach lining (usually) doesn't dissolve due to the gastric mucosal barrier - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gastric_mucosal_barrier
2.
OK, lets try again - I do not own ANY headphones - so if i was going to buy some, which (if any) would work with a non amplified passive bass without also having to but anything additional
That's one option, but I think that it's probably a false economy. For similar money, you could get an amplug or a small headphone amp and a pair of more conventional headphones that will work with other things too.
3. >Seymore Duncan pick up booster The main thing to look for is where the bass roll off starts. The specs say the frequency response is -3dB at 30Hz and 38 kHz. That's essentially flat for guitar, but not quite for bass (although boosting the bottom octave might not be the best idea anyway). You also don't seem to be able to turn the gain down below 1 (unity), which is is probably not going to be an issue for many people. No idea if the resonance switch will be of any use.
4. Hi, Been lurking for a while. Putting together a bitsa, so figured I should register and say hello prior to scouring the For Sale threads. Played a little UB in high school (badly) 20 odd years ago. After a bit of a break, picked up the guitar (sorry), which led to the bass eventually. Recently decided that I am going off frets, so the bitsa will be fretless, and I will almost have come completely full circle. Haven't played in a band for a very long time, but have played guitar in folk/pub sessions on-and-off more recently. I also build pedals/effects, so if any of you hang out in the various effects forums, you might recognise me. p.s I'm found on the edge of the Peak Distict and work in Manchester
