yep thats the one ive tried.

Was it a glass fuse and tested OK? Next step is to check the power board (see above), but stay away from the big capacitors!

I'll take your word on the volume, but 1 cubic km would weigh 1,000 x 1000 x 1000 tonnes (1 cubic metre weighs 1 tonne...)
Multiply by your 1.3 billion and we have a serious lot of zeros, and no idea of what such a number could be called (other than 'astronomical'..?).
Have I missed something..? Corrections welcomed.
(Don't mind me; carry on regardless...)

1000x1000x1000 = 1billion (1e9)
multiplied by 1.3billion (1.3e9) = 1.3e18 = 1.3 quintillion tonnes (original mistake of 1e18 being a trillion amended - mix up of long and short scales :))

I considered that, and decided that the amount of fish consumed couldn't be as big as the amount of massive boats being put in the sea. they weigh hundreds of thousands of tons, if not millions! and let's not forget the freight carriers, which regularly carry tons and tons of crap over from china. You get enough of them and it's going to become noticeable.

You have got to be trolling me

Combined the oceans are approx 1.3 billion cubic kilometres. Even assuming pure water (sea water is much heavier) that's 1.3 quintillion tons. That's a lot of ships ;)

I don't think it's impossible. It's not just ships though, is it? So much waste gets put into the sea every day, especially in developing nations, who treat seas and lakes like a sewage (and more shockingly, drinking water) system.

I don't believe much of what i have been spoon-fed on climate change, because it's mostly bollocks.
I'm not convinced on climate change either, but saying sea levels are rising due to putting things in the sea is absurd, sorry. It's probably negated by what we take out of the sea anyway.

Theres 2 inputs active and passive, im using a passive bass (Yamaha RBX170) through the passive input

Sounds fine, just worried it might damage it long term
If you're worried, try the bass through the active input which may give you more control with the gain knob

Hi Protium cheers for this. How come it still works without the black wires ?
That pic is exactly what I'm planning but with the stomp switches sticking out of the top of my board

Also one last question: I need 0.5mm stranded cable for this ?
If you're using a metal case, that provides all the ground connections. If you're using a non-conductor you'll need all the black wires.
I normally use the 7/0.2mm stranded wire from Bitsbox: http://www.bitsbox.co.uk/cable/cable.html

27 is fine! Bear in mind that I've been looking at Cayennes :-)

The Audi is a much nicer car IMO, and after a stage 1 remap it'll match the Cayenne performance anyway!

Yee haa. Made the plunge.

Bought an Audi S3 Sportback with the S-tronic DSG gearbox. Very dark metallic blue. Black leather interior.

Four wheel drive. Not overly big, but plenty of space. Reasonably economical. Awesome to drive with that DSG box.

Thanks for all your help.

PS: Also bought a Steinberger XL-2 so probably don't need the practical car anymore LOL

My Leon has the same engine, whoever came up with the economy figures is living in la-la land. Expect 27 to the gallon at best
Very nice car though :)

9. If you're using a metal case and metal-sleeved sockets you can ignore all of the black wires, I made an identical box for a BC member

Agreed. That would make total sense - I haven't liked Pino so much since he stopped using the fretless StingRay and OC-2 and changed to Ashdown amps and P-Basses.

I don't think he'll lose any sleep, he's just happy they didn't ask him to endorse a bass modelled on a toilet seat and an amp dressed up as a bee.

I reckon we should all celebrate the diversity and be thankful that the Ashdown users have introduced us to these 'wading bass lines'. Every day's a school day where music's concerned. :-)

You're right, your one experience with Ashdown applies to their entire range and all of their users. Ashdown - JJ Burnell, Pino Palladino, Nate Mendel. Markbass - Jeff Berlin. Nuff said.
