I had a Countryman bass Ukelele a while back that I didn't really gel with. Rubber strings that constantly went out of tune and intonation was pretty bad and non adjustable. I'd still be curious to try one again with roundwound strings

What have you got on it at the moment. If you measure the string length from the ball end to the nut that should give you an idea of the length you'll need. I use D'addario nickel wound super long scale on my fretless, which is also 35 " and through body. Different manufacturers will likely have slightly different lengths for their" long scale" strings

Did you end up buying the bass from PMT? I've tried both the 5 and 6 string versions of this bass and really liked the way they played and sounded. Got a 7 string guitar I'll need to shift before I'll actually be able to afford one though.

Trying to decide between an Ibanez SRFF806 or a Dingwall Combustion/ NG2. I'm also needing a new amp but having a hard time deciding on what to get
