  1. £SOLD Inc UK postage, payment via PayPal gift please.

In my opinion much better than the current production Cs-3 that just seemed to kill my tone. The cs-2 has a better low end response to my ears and is used by Juan Alderete (Mars Volta, Racer X).

Not quite sure how old it is but it's made in Japan so I assume 1980s

  2. If I can find the neck plate (still no idea but I'm digging through stuff all the time) I'd be happy to post this to the buyer free of charge. It's a great bass and Udo is great to deal with.

  3. Thanks both, my other one is actually the MIM pawnshop Mustang which I swapped out the pickup with nordstrand. I've played the current production MIM ones and, to me at least, the build quality doesn't seem to compare to either of mine. What I especially love about this one is that the tone is not a p or a j, but somewhere between the two.

  4. Very good condition, I believe that this is a 2002 model. Not sure. I've actually got two Mustang basses as well as other basses and don't need both.

Collection from Chesham, Bucks (end of the metropolitan line on the tube) or Rickmansworth, Herts preferred as I don't have a box for postage at the moment. If I get one I'll open it up for postage. I can deliver a short distance as I have a car.

£SOLD collected, cash on collection or PayPal.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to get in touch

Sounds good! Is that recorded with the VT Bass?

    Always. ❤️

I still use my Leeds quite a bit too but not on the vids as I wanted the most "generic"/popular bass amp modelled when reviewing.

  6. Nothing wrong with change for the sake of a change! I think a thicker distortion or fuzz would be different enough. As mentioned above, I'm loving the Stone Deaf Kliponite at the moment. I did a demo of it:

  7. Well you already have the B3k and whilst the Alpha Omega is different, it's in a similar ball park to the B3k (modern overdrive and distortion tones) so you may wish to get something radically different to the B3k to cover more bases. Like a fuzz or a light overdrive (both B3k and VT Bass in the pic look at for pretty heavy distortion). The Alpha Omega does the light overdrive thing well.

I love my VT Bass, but only as an amp sim.

Here's a some of the stuff I'm enjoying at the moment in the fuzz and overdrive categories:

    Stone Deaf Kliponite

    Fuzzrocious Cat/Rat Tail

    Jext Telez Dizzy Tone V5

    Fairfield Circuitry Unpleasant Suprise

Let us know what sort of sound you want to replace the VT Bass with and we can give better suggestions

  8. Excellent fuzz engineered in collaboration with David Maine (DAM). It's basically a rehoused Colorsound Tonebender and has heaps of low end. Somewhat similar to a sovtek big muff. There's no LED or power supply input only a battery clip. To me, it's the definition of fat and woolly vintage bass fuzz.

I did a bass demo of it:

  9. Urgh. Not particularly happy to sell this but I've got a service and MOT due at the end of the month just before payday. I reserve the right to withdraw this at any time.

    Here's the blurb:

Here we go. For a limited time. Severely limited quantities. We had to fulfill our obligation to the evil record company, so what else… do a greatest hits package.

Seriously, however, we are revisiting doing a perfected pedal board friendly version of our most loved and treasured Dizzy Tones.

The Triple Black V5 is the low-end dream weaver.  Bassists love the extra octave of deep extended smooth lowend found in the combo of all black germanium capped off with the all time great black glass Mullard OC44.  Classic evil distortion that always signifies danger.

We’ll make as many as we can but that won’t be many.

I did a bass demo on YouTube:

  10. Good condition, £60 in uk postage, payment via PayPal please.

Quirky little box of fun. The original was a box that plugged straight into the guitar jack socket. Sound? A reverse-sawtooth tremolo-type affair. Very choppy.

Stock, it cuts the signal completely between 'beats', giving the percussion effect the name suggests. This version has an optional depth knob to tame that chop and give a wider range of effect. It has also been updated for more output, and has an internal volume trimmer to set it to unity (or over, or under, as you wish).

Also added is a switch to change the speed range available. At higher speeds it sounds almost ring-mod-ish.
