I need two basses worked on, I have a couple of basses I want some work done to. Fundamental instruments are sound but they need some work and it’s a lot for me to do as there is wood routing and fretting/dressing. maybe replacement parts.

any recommendations?

I found this in the rehearsal room yesterday... I think the paper recycling bin puked it out as it has a cheese intolerance.

Thanks. It’s the sounds that take me back, I can get a Depeche Mode/Yazoo and all those 80s pop song bass lines with it....

For that you need some pedals as input devices... but it’s still a great way to do Taurus as the synths as plug ins are very good... and official Moog Tauruses are hella expensive.

I recently took in a 40 year old Prodigy #6993 for restoration, not much needed doing, some steam cleaning of the case, the Wood was not in good state of finish so stripped and sealed back to grain then sealed and a matte black topcoat added to match Rogue styling —. a new U.K. 240V PSU (with Fuse IEC and all insulated and rubber booted). US transformer included.

A wonderful monosynth and a fantastic bassline machine. No midi, no cv/trig this is a player’s musical instrument not a collectors machine and is ready to ship.

IEC Socket fitted

New PSU all safety checked and suited and booted tags and IEC socket.

Clean keys — all contacts good.

Underside Green side all contacts shiny and in excellent condition

The capacitor is a factory mod made when it was built by moog.

Topside PCB, all knobs in good travel condition, switches all clean and only PSU caps (top right pair) needed change.

Synth is unmodified and fully working and ready to ship.

Saving up for possibility of buying a used  Rob Allen Bass.

Been meaning to try the zen bass but I just can’t seem to pick it up

Times I do use fretted  bass is when I am asked to play bass and gonzo punk guitar (via a pedal that needs a bit of unused string muting) at the same time as singing main lyrics — that’s a little bit much for me right now. 

I always pack a spare pair of clean knickers before heading out. (Plus all kinds of other shite  boys probably don’t want to know about.)
