1.
I may be interested as it could work wonders in my new band, but I dont get paid til 19th, so if you get an offer in the mean time, by all means let her go, :)
I have heard it doesnt tend to like being played in conjuction with other pedals, can you confirm/correct this piece of (possible) hearsay!
Hi the pedal works great in conjunction with the few other pedals ive used it with and i havnt had a problem, that said the pedal is now sold im afraid, i just forgot to update the thread :/
That's an intresting setting you have on it! Rate down, oscilatting from low to high. I generally have it:
Start f: 10
Stop f: 3
Rate: 10

Anyways, it's a fun pedal with quite a lot of diversity, I've managed to get 3 or 4 amazing sounds that I use regularly out of it. Couldn't live without it!
Hi, im afraid the settings are random, i gave it a quick dust off before taking the pictures and then thought it looked a bit odd with all the sliders at the bottom so messed them up a little

2.
Also so we are clear watts is not a measurement of volume
Haha yes though i figured i should save myself after re reading my post  not that it makes much sense now but i know what i was trying to get across :)

sounds good about the 8x10 too that was the second thing i was curious about, problem would be transporting one though.

3.
Keep the Aggies :)....just collect loads!!!!

2 x 15 Matamp = destruction!
Haha id love to, cabs around the living room trumps pictures on the wall, ornaments or plants anyday
from my experience matamp and orange are miles apart, the orange cabs i tried were terrible and the AD200 has been recording at only putting out 160watts out of 4Xkt88s (they should do atleast 200)

The matamp gt200 is probably one of the best bass heads i've heard though will do from hi fi clean to svt grind to massive doom fuzz.

i still don't get what kind of venues you guys get to play where you can crank 200watt heads to full without the sound guy bitching.
Sounds good the general consensus seems to be they are versatile heads which is very attractive. I dont think i personally would ever need all these watts its simply paranoia that it could one day be inadequate when parting with £1300 i think.

4.
A guys is selling a few on here.

As most people dont favour the old-school heavy cabs much on here, they might not get a massive vote...but the Matamp cabs probably seriously kick arse. They will sound nice n chunky...plus no doubt you can customise.

An 8x10/6x10 is a good idea as well.
Hi thanks for flagging them up. There tempting but im would probably buy a new set so i can choose my own coverings to match with whatever i chose for the head if i did. That all said i cant see myself parting with my aguilars though i will definitely have a bit of a experiment when im at the showroom, the 2x15 they mentioned on the phone has me very curious.

5. Hi, thanks for all the replys and sorry i havnt commented yet, ive been out all day. The matamp is sounding very tempting, my primary worry was the power of the amp but the fellow on the phone said that they were 200 clean watts and 300 distorted and i have no quarrels with power tube distortion :). I also love the look of that matamp posted by 'thedontcarebear' and if i decide to bite the bullet i may have that as the theme.

Also when i was on the phone i mentioned that my mate who plays guitar may also be interested in what they have to offer and was told that if i brought our drummer to there is a kit at matamp and we could crank all the gear up to get an idea for how loud it goes and what it sounds like so if nothing else its gonna be a hell of a day out

With everyones responses and depending on wether it trumps my v8 for tone i think it is going to be very hard to resist!

In interest of symmetry does anyone have any experience and opinions on the matamp cabs too?

6. Hi pardon the title i didnt know what to put really. Ive just phoned up matamp and am going to their showroom next week when i get back to huddersfield. I just wondered if anyone had any opinions of these amps and maybe some pictures as i cant find any. It retails at £1300 and apparently any cosmetic changes, faceplate covering etc are covered in that so they sound quite reasonable as i say though it would be great to hear some peoples experiences.

7.
If I were you I would wait until mid June to do so

...because then Jon can finish my JJ Burnel first
Haha i may not mention it to him straight away and instead put it on a note on the mac dashboard, i think the shock of wanting to change fretboards after how long we spent finalizing the spec may be enough for him

Also i have to admit those JJ Burnels do look awfully tasty ill be having a spy at the pictures if you upload any when its done :)

8.
If you are still thinking on using the ACG pre-amp the relative outputs of the pickups can be changed with the internal trim pots on the pre-amp. This would allow you to balance the outputs of two different types of pickup.
Alan
Hi Alan,

Thanks for the advice, the ACG pre amp is a must for me so ill make sure to pass the info onto Jon.

Thanks again, and a thank you to Rich for pointing out the issue :)

9.
Absolutely gorgeous mate!
I think you're right, a lighter fingerboard would look awesome...

Love that shape too!

What's the ETA?

Eude
Hi thanks Eude.

Thanks for the kind words, im more than happy with how the shape has turned out. I originally went to Jon asking about a carl thompson look but a little different and this was the first thing he came back with which i thought was brilliant and he described as a more modern take on the CT which i certainly think it is.

As for the eta it was originally august but finalizing the spec took quite a while as i kept revising things along with different ideas which were talked over with Jon for what would give the best result so im guessing that has thrown it out a bit. To be honest im trying to keep my mind off it as since jon mentioned he had the top on (about a month ago) i havnt been able to think of anything else, though this should put me on :) Fingers crossed ill have it either around or before christmas.

10. Actually i thought id take a quick go at revising the spec, thing highlited in bold are changes and those underlined may still change, ill edit this post as i remember things as i dont think it is yet complete

34" scale
26 frets
38.5mm nut width
neck depth same all the way down, i cant remember the exact depth but its measured to my rickenbacker :)
19mm string spacing at bridge (std 4 string)
5 piece laminated neck, zebrano, ebony and maple
ebony board? may now change
two way truss rod
carbon fibre reinforcement
brass nut
head veneer matching top
gotoh tuners
white side dots
jumbo frets
no f/board face dots

scroll body shape
black walnut body
kingwood
Inlay in top above f/board 'area' - mop

polyester basecoat
satin topcoat? may change to high gloss

kahler trem
Either internal roland midi pickup system, or ghost midi setup depending on whether or not the kahler trem will take the ghost system
black hardware
acg preamp (passive tone)
neutrik locking jack
flip top battery box
stereo output
2 EMG Pickups, Both TW
EMG Phase Inverter Switch

11. Right then, its been a while since this has been updated and a fair bit has happened, changes to spec etc but i thought id wait until i had something to show. After quite a while i now have some pictures to upload, ill try and get the revised spec up when i have a bit more time as i cant remember it all off the top of my head.

Also following these photos ive emailed Jon to see if it would be to late to revise the choice of wood for fretboard. At present its going to be ebony but as i say seeing the photos has got me thinking and i wonder if a lighter wood wood look better, my first thought is birdseye maple, possibly with an ebony binding but i would love to hear anyone else's opinions

12.
I'm interested.

Am I right in thinking that it is the style old version that needs a 24v power supply and if so does it come with one?
Hi i believe it is the 24v version and the EHX power supply does come with it :)

13.
No worries, I'm glad you saw the funny side. :)
No worries, ive uploaded better photo now, though not perfect as its quite dark and if i use the flash its just all reflection :/

14.
Ooh I really fancy one of these.... but if I might be so bold -> linky :)
haha sorry my phones being particularly awful today and i couldn't swallow admitting my girlfriend was right and i should have used her camera ill get a better picture up soon

15. Hi for sale is my Electro Harmonix Bass Micro Synthesizer. The pedal is in great condition and still has the warranty card unused in the box if the new owner wishes to send it off. Its a great pedal, however ive just bought a Boss RC-20XL Loop Station on impulse and need to fund it somehow to justify the purchase.

Im selling the pedal for £110 posted.
