1. Thanks for replies, with response to dood, i play with my fingers close to the bridge as i prefer the higher tension, however sometimes closer to the neck as i prefer the tone. For the strap i play with it higher up as its far more practical and easier though have to admit i get scared of looking a fool with it so do like to lower it to around waist height, trying to compromise as best i can. For the onboard electronics, i am looking for a really versatile EQ slightly parametric ideally, so selectable mids or a sweep-able mid, along with a couple of extra options such as a mono and stereo output. Im also thinking of a kahler tremolo and possibly midi pickup, though i also have to consider price a little so these may get dropped. For the tone of the bass, rick is just a sound id like as an option. I play with fingers primarily and am familiar with a plec for if the song desires it. I play a little slap though its not something I'm not really concerned about with the bass. Other sound of the bass its easier for me to refer to artists, so the sound of les claypool, black sabbath, the cure so they are sounds i would like to get from the bass. For the body wood i really like the idea of choosing a tone wood then facing it, though im not to sure of the characteristics of certain woods. For the neck i really like the wenge, paduak on the bass i mentioned before, but for the face woods im considering possible pale moon ebony to go with this, or possibly a darker body, maybe ebony, with a pale moon neck, though im not sure if pale moon would be a suitable neck wood, so maybe maple. Finally for the hardware like i say im thinking a kahler bass tremolo, though was lead to believe light hardware to be undesirable after the change a badass III had on a precision i had though im guessing its more a personal taste thing now. Thanks again for the help so far Sean
2. Hi, I've made my decision and I'm going to sell the Infinity and buy a Shuker. The Warwick Infinity is now in the for sale section for anyone who is interested; http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=23155 and I've started a topic in the Build diary section for the progress of the Shuker starting now with initial ideas; http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=23158 Thanks for all your replies Sean
3. Hi, after a few posts on the forums and heavily considering in my head I've decided on having a Shuker bass made for me. I've arranged for a meeting on monday and talked very briefly to Jon on the phone. While i haven't decided much yet as I'm still toying with ideas yet what has been decided is that it will be a custom shape. Im also debating what woods to use, for the neck I'm pretty much set on Wenge and Paduak like here: and for the fret board ebony, though I'm still debating the body wood, possibly pale moon ebony if he has or can get a piece. Other than this however I'm pretty much undecided on what i want and I'm sure a lot will be decided in the meeting with Jon. Still i want to have a couple of ideas before i go and would like to hear peoples suggestions. Im open to ideas for pickup placement and what pickups to use, along with preamps and anything else that can be though of as i want the bass to be very versatile. Id like an optional Rickenbacker like sound though i don't know how realistic this idea is. Also if anyone has any ideas for the shape it would be great to hear. I will keep this post up to date. Thanks Sean
4. Hi, reposting this as I've moved from feeler to for sale. The bass is in great condition and is a great bass to play however i am pursuing a Shuker custom build and i must get the money from somewhere. As i say this is a very reluctant sale as the bass is perfect for me, great sound, great feel, however i do want to add MIDI as an option and a tremolo and doing this to this bass would only deface it and so im going to pursue a custom build, which if you read the spec in the build diaries you will see is very much influenced by this bass, in particular the neck profile. The bass was made in 2005 and i paid £2400 for it, so I'm looking to sell for around £1500. PRICE DROP; £1200 o.n.o. For some aditional information on the bass, here is the spec from it; Neck-Through Design Available as 4, and 5-string Left-handed and fretless version available at no additional charge Hollow Ovangkol body with either a AAA-Flamed Maple or AAA-Birdseye Maple top F-Holes carved into top Flamed Maple or Birdseye Maple neck Rosewood fingerboard Scale length: 34" (long scale) 24 frets Active MEC J/TJ pickups Actvie MEC 3-band electronics Finishes: Natural Oil Finish Warwick tuners 2-piece Warwick bridge Warwick security locks Black hardware Just-A-Nut III Weight: 8.38 lbs.(4-string), 9.5 lbs. (5-string) Here are some pictures of the bass and i will post more if requested: Any Questions, please feel free to ask.

7. Here are the replies;
(I own an Infinity SN4) Pick-up choice is quite restricted due to the Twin Jazz at the Bridge. I thought that Delano did one that fits, but couldn't find it on their site. EQ-wise, the world is your oyster. Might be worth having a look through the Warwick.de forum to see what everyone else is using, or post a question over there?
Hi, thanks for the reply, i have found the pickup you said, you have to go through the 'JC Series' and its the last one on the right hand column. As you say it looks like a perfect replacment for the twin jazz but does anyone know how Delano pickups compare to MECs and what wiring configurations are available with twin J pickups Thanks Sean
8. I think i may have listed this in the wrong part of the forum http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?act=post&a...234552&st=0 though heres the topic again just incas; ill also post the replies from the other forum; Hi, seen as the auction for my Warwick Streamer is going well i'm starting to think i may have more money from it than i think and maybe a little left over to toy with. With this i'm considering upgrading my Infinity if it doesn't get a good offer on here with a new preamp or pickups, though what would people recommend. Im thinking Audere for the preamp though really this is only sold to me by the configuration you can do on the site and the 'Z' Mode. So please what do are people ideas and what would you recommend? This is the bass btw http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=23002 Thanks in advance for any replies Sean

11. Hi, im not exactly sure if im going to sell the bass as i love it, however i do need the money. The bass is a Warwick Infinity NT made in 2005 and is in great condition. Im not sure of an exact price for the bass so im open to offers and will probably decide from there. As such i will also consider trades and part exchanges. Here are some pictures of the bass: Any Questions, please feel free to ask. I'm also selling a 1991 Warwick Streamer Stage I on ebay if anyone is interested; http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...E:IT&ih=006
