I've watched many vids of people slapping their Jaydees.
Are they really a one trick pony or can they be as versatile as a Jazz type bass.

I've just discovered Snarky Puppy.
Really like their P bass playing bassist. -
Where are you located?

Added pictures... Sorry about quality.

I have for sale a Keeley Bassist compressor.
It is boxed, in as new condition and comes with soft case.
The sound is clean / transparent with no loss of highs or lows.
£100 plus £5 postage.
Can't post pictures from my tablet so will add later.... Sorry. -

Very sad news.
Our thoughts are with the families and friends of the dead and injured.

Totally agree with the above.
My Elwood is a pleasure to play and Adrian is such a great guy.

To far for me... 😟

Sorry, did mean EHX 360.
Both look good but I'm heading towards the Boss.
-
Birthday is coming up next month and the Mrs Spyder has offered to buy me a looper.
Short list is between the Boss RC1 or EH 360.
I'm looking to lay down a bass line and muck about the solo's over the top.
Any advice or guidance appreciated.

I use 40 ~ 100 chrome flats on my Jazz.

Some of my favourites...
BBE optostomp.. cheap and works.
EBS.. easy to use and warm sound.
TRACE ELLIOT.. classic 80s sound.
KEELEY BASSIST.. my favourite to date.
CALI.. full control of all settings.

Send it back.

I lower the bridge till it just starts to buzz. If the buzzing is at the bridge end, tighten the truss rod
If its at the nut end, loosen. If its evenly spread, job done. Then raise the bridge again to lose the buzz.

My too. -
I've had two truss rods go faulty.
One on a new shuker that was faulty from new. I can forgive that one because the maker would not of known of the fault until it was adjusted in a set up.
The next was on a very old and battered fender P that had very high action. I got it home and fitted new strings, went to adjust the TR and bang, it snapped and the neck shot across the room in three bits.
The seller refused to give a refund accusing me of damaging it to obtain a refund. Good job it was only £100. I sold the body and hardware and got my money back.

I think the Jake is 42mm as my Elwood is 40mm and slightly thinner than the Jake.

I have the same problem on the Surrey / Berkshire border.
All soft rock or metal pub cover bands. Not a creative bone in their bodies.
There are no original material bands around, just the same old pub rock drivel.
