  1. After many years of thinking about double bass, I today purchased a 5 string Gedo.

It plays great but I don't know if it can be tweaked to play better.

The strings have black silks and the action seems ok to me.

Does anyone know a knowledgeable double bass player in the Torbay area who can give me advice on set up and playing tips.

After 4 hours playing I'm hurting and still enjoying the challenge.

I'm learning as many tunes as possible for my country band rehearsal on Friday.

That’s disappointing and I bet Ashdown would of put that right

I use wireless with my ABM600 and it’s excellent

I tried the wireless unit with my Ashdown 22 and a Bergantino B/amp and there was no interference. Only happen with the ABM 400?

    25th Anniversary ABM-400 Limited Edition

    Anyone keen?

    Yes...

I bought one about 3 weeks ago and unfortunately had to send it back.

With the Line6 wireless unit I had it hummed like crazy.

Took it out to a gig and had to use a backup amp it was so bad.

Unfortunately I had to send it back the next day for a refund.

    Very disappointed ☹️

  4. I've never been an ABM cab fan, in fact, the very opposite. I really can't get on with the thick coloured sound....until I tried the new ABM 210 neo pro.

It's a sealed 2x10 light weight cab that doesn't have the thick low end the previous heavy weight ABM cabs had.

Sounds great with a Bergantino and Ashdown head. They let the flavour of both heads shine through.

The ABM 210 neo pro cabs are my current go to single or paired choice.
