I've seen a Mackie Onyx Satellite which has some good reviews. Does anyone have any experience of them? Thanks, Stu

Thanks fellas - I've pulled the trigger on a DHA EQ Drive. Lesser drive than a VT2 but still should have heaps of valvey goodness

Great line, one of my favourites - laid-back soul-funk

just ordered 4 new cables from BC favourite OBBM!!
I don't have the instrument cables yet (just about to post cheque) but if his speaker cables are anything to go by (stunning!) then got to be worth it.
Using the USB functionality - do I have to record, stop, and then copy the takes to my computer, or can I use it as an interface?
Hi cheddatom
I believe that you need to record first, rather than use as an interface
There is a Korg forum that knows more than I, but I believe this is correct

Just wondered what the best (cheap) way of getting a signal from bass to my MacBook. Need to do this quietly, while the kids are asleep, so mic'ing up is not an option.
Came across this... Stealth Plug... but wasn't sure if it was any good, or if there are other options available.
Appreciate your help (it's birthday pressie research )
Many thanks

Damn GAS... I've got a fabulous combo (Mark Bass Jeff Berlin) that is powerful, sounds great, lightweight etc. and yet I'm still hankering after some smooth, creamy, valvey goodness
I know that selling the MB would be a mistake, and can't afford also having a full valve (V8, 400+ etc.) set up, but was wondering if any of these valve pedals do a good impression of the aforementioned smooth, creamy, valvey goodness Mainly interested in subtlety, perhaps with a touch of distorted tube sounds.
I presume i'll be looking at EBS Valvedrive, DHA's, maybe even the emulation of the EBS Microbass 2...
Please let me know your thoughts if you think any of these would do the job
Many thanks

Bump - Pictures added. Most attractive Warwick of the lot, IMHO.

Feel-good freebie gig for local home for folks with epilepsy and learning difficulties - Meath home. Started fantastically with first 7 songs as best as we've ever played them, including a cracking Taxman Kind of went downhill from then, but they are a very forgiving audience and seem to enjoy it. It's a good deal all round as they get free 'entertainment' (in the broadest sense of the word, as we're not very good!) and we get a free rehearsal space every now and again
How about an Ibanez AFB-200 and one of my bestest lap dances :brow:
very kind offer!! Unfortunately male lap dances are not really my thang, and I think my wife [s]may[/s] will object to me trading my bass for a lap dance by one of our female basschaters! -
- a backup bass
Hi Simon
Maybe a bit OTT for a back up bass but given that you like Warwicks please let me know if interested.

Not really in line with the brand-spanking, sparkling, good-as-new boiled string theme that this thread has picked up but a new set of Thomastik flats made a stunning difference to my DeArmond Jet Star

Cash price added - please p.m. with any interest
